Like I said Republican playbook on fetus
Can't kill. Life is precious. A beating heart is God's gift.
Once that fetus is a person we can cut it off let it suffer. As long as it's warm and has a pulse
Society is a reflection of people like Trump as president. He's the crystal of the collective consciousness. Egotistical maniacs.
We gotta flatten that curve at all costs!

I feel the same way, I just think education is the only way to change ppl.
Egotistical babies losing their egotistical parents is def a real life experience but I doubt its going to shift things the way we want.

It's weird how some people think that letting it run its course wouldn't also tank the economy and cause most businesses to shut down for awhile anyway. The chaos of it hitting all at once would cause a clusterfuck of panic that I cant even imagine.
The shutdown just speeds up and attempts to control the process, especially if hospitals have the time to staff up and stock up, testing gets increased, and the most effective treatment protocols get narrowed down while things slowly open back up.

They do, and actually get more serious about it. Which would you rather have right now? A DUI or a ticket for breaking the Shelter In Place rules. What about a drug addiction or being charged with abuse vs. a "S.I.P" ticket? Obviously, a ticket. Your comments make it seem like you're trying too hard.
Letting someone die because they are old is sick. If you want less people then stop people from having kids and promote abortion. Killing old people is not the way to go about it and just because someone is old doesn't mean they're useless. I would trade a lot of people my own age to keep some 80 year olds alive.
At this point there is no reason that anyone should be dying from this. The government should be producing a massive amount of tests while everyone else take's shelter

doctors and qualified nurses are not
If they had let this shit just totally spiral out of control they would have had to build a bunch of makeshift hopsitals, bring in nursing students. they dont know how to use PPE right. they'd be getting sick, taking it to their families. meanwhile the veteran ICU nurses would slowly die or quit because of lack of governmental support. medical care would get increasingly shitty and fatality rate would go way up. not just for 80 year old. meanwhile all of those people appear to be suffering some level of permanent damage to various vital organs that would need further medical management in the future. ongoing lack of government support for healthcare workers will result in increased attrition and less interest in joining the field. it would have gotten ugly over time.
they should not close it down a day longer than necessary cuz that will get ugly too but it's still too soon for all of the optimism I am seeing
lots of nonessential business are reopening this week in texas already

Pretty much.
People seeing the current numbers and talking about how the virus was overblown is like giving someone who's going into anaphylactic shock an epi-pen, and then them saying "I must not be as allergic as I thought, lets go play with more bees!"

It doesn't necessarily have to be and open or shut economy. It's not a binary decision. If you want things to open back up, you should be advocating for more medical equipment and staff, much higher testing rates, better contact tracing.
If the country came together to facilitate those things efficiently, there's no reason why you couldn't start unwinding the restrictions.

I've got an anti tiger rock I can sell you. You will never be attacked by a tiger when you hold it.
Not getting attacked by a tiger is proof that it works.
Regardless of the validity, it does help to come from a logically unproveable standpoint.
If you get sick, I was right. If you don't get sick, I was also right.
Suffer now.

I know it is not condoned to say anything that could appear to contradict the party line. And I know there can only ever be two opposing viewpoints always in direct opposition.
A functioning economy and one that actively attacks the medically impaired are not implicitly opposed.

The video in this article is so awesome. Trump tweets about Cuomo while watching Gov Cuomo's press conference, a reporter tells Cuomo so he rips trump to shreds over so many things. Keep watching, it gets better as he gets into it
