Storing truffles in peanut butter?
    #26608920 - 04/17/20 07:36 PM (3 years, 9 months ago)

So I recently started using bags for cubes which means I've got a bunch of useless jars laying around. So I got 4 screlotia ms syringes and noc'd them all up. Now I'm realizing I'm going to have a lot of stones come harvest time so I'm researching long term storage ideas.

I'm thinking I will dry them properly, grind them into a fine powder and mix it in with something. I see a lot of people use chocolate. If I end up with a lot a lot I'm thinking of taking some peanut butter out of a new jar and stirring in a ton of stone powder. Sounds feasible right?

Why not just dry them and save them without grinding or mixing with anything? Grinding them increases surface area and accelerates degradation of the active molecules. If you dry them and store them in a cool, dry, dark place, they should be good for a long time. If you're into the peanut butter idea for consumption, you can grind some up and mix them when you're ready to use them.
