Well, that's one way for me to determine whether there's a maximum number of entries for my ignore list...

I don't have a need for "perfect" members. And let's face it, is anyone on the Earth actually perfect in speech and conduct?
What I'd like to see are the following items.
No bots. No duplicate accounts. No name-calling or subtle slights. Taking some things seriously, especially now. Having a sense of humor when humor is called for and appropriate. Being polite and respectful of one another. Bringing out the very, very best in one another. If someone knows they aren't being a good person, they should be capable of realizing that and making adjustments to their character. Less course dialogue, and more refined dialogue. Restoring dignity in our daily interactions. No porn or nudity. We have enough of those sites to leave this one out of that stuff. Being honest to the point that we accurately portray the effects of active fungi, rather that accurately portray how far south consciousness has gone and continues to go. Seeing the good in one another when it is present, even if it's temporary. Better mentorship. More kindness. More classiness. More excellence. A taste of the sacred.
I would say that we do work rather diligently to keep bots, spam and duplicate (aka puppet) accounts out of the community... and while I would personally love to see an elevation in general conduct with regard to kindness, respect and giving others the benefit of the doubt; it's exceptionally difficult (if not practically impossible) to enforce a politeness protocol with any sort of consistency in a community this large, which happens to be guided almost exclusively by volunteers.
Our individual forums each embody their own style of discourse, and in particular, it is our off-topic banter forums such as this one that tend to harbor a more crass and off-the-cuff attitude because they are designed to be a venue for less serious discussion, prone to tangents or simply a place for members to blow off some steam and bullshit with one another. If you hop into Mushroom Cultivation or Culinary Arts for example, you'll find much more focused and generally more respectful/kind discourse.
Generally speaking, after 25 years at this, we've learned that pushing too hard to enforce a specific set of ideals isn't sustainable. This circles back to this place being a mostly volunteer directed community, and because each volunteer moderator has their own subjective opinions along with varying amounts of available time to be active in their managerial roles.
