6g trip 3

Anyone ever have a trip that tops all trips and feels like you’ll be integrating what you learned in that trip forever? Well after a month of experimenting i finally got it all right, dose, set, setting and SONG. 6 gram tea, hiked far far above our county overlooking the whole state, made a bed with blankets snacks and music and within 45min all of “me” dissolved into only consciousness. Life as I know it will never be the same again. I was finally able to see my life, my choices, my motives and my goals all in the absence of fear, fear had no presence, fear wasn’t real. If I was anything in that moment i was just my last breath I’d taken. Eyes closed, unable to barely move because of the body load and just floating...transcending all the material world, my thoughts dissolved, zero internal dialogue existed because words were far from me...
I spent two years researching this decision. I’m so grateful...I got way more than I bargained for.

I have a hard time believing it gets better after 6g. Seemed to eclipse any preconceived idea I had of what could happen during and after a trip.

It’s always more than you bargained for. This may sound unbelievable at this time, but you will settle back to normal, for better or worse, but, some small part of you will be changed in the same way as if you had traveled to a mysterious and faraway place. Your context for your life, culture and humanity in general is broader after a psychedelic trip of that magnitude. It humbles, at least for a while.

I just love the Intensity with all their melodies, good feels for sure. I feel like a lot of their music was made for people they trip, or they’re hardcore trippers themselves. Every album cover is looks heavily psychedelic.

Good shit OP! Reminds me of my last trip experience, 12/21/19 solstice. I felt like I was learning reality at 2.5x speed like a YouTube video, LOL .

I feel like it set and setting are perfect, higher doses can be extremely beneficial. 6g was definitely high enough, couldn’t even sit up or open my eyes but flying through space and time like you said, observing all things at 2.5x and just felt incredibly fortunate for the experience the whole trip.

That sounds so intense. Did you get at all uncomfortable with the duration of that or the intensity?

No I was very comfortable for entire time. Felt it could have gone on forever.

What's your experience with mushrooms and psychedelics before that ? I can totally understand the nature of the experience. It is just interesting that there can be such acceptance and enjoyment of the intensity and no fear; I guess that is the mushrooms working their magic and a proper preparation for the trip.

Zero experience prior, well, couple trips, maybe 2 on a low dose to test the waters. Just with psilocybin. No other drugs.
The setting was insanely beautiful. Caught a sunrise at 6am, made a tea. Hiked to the highest point in our county and just went for it. Laid down, controlled my breathing and experienced fully what I’ve spent years reading about. It was beautiful, there was nothing to be afraid of.

For me I feel it’s perfect, even if you do lay down and close your eyes. You’re in a wide open, free beautiful space, warm and for me, which is most important, totally alone. My focus is solely on the experience, the journey into consciousness and I need to have zero distractions.

Yeah only problem I have is that I don't have a car so I can't just pick a place to go to. I live in a city with good public transport so I don't need one. Might be possible to go by some bus or train close to a good spot though.i This summer perhaps I will do it. Sounds perfect.

Sounds great, Orange24.
A spot in nature with zero distractions is the perfect place to trip. When the clouds turn purple and form this mandala grid all over the sky.. Birds fly around, animal noises, the wind.. you soak it all in and just exist in the moment.

Yes, agreed.
When I was peaking I was wide awake, plenty of energy, but my body kind of felt like I was in that stage where you're just chilling in bed about to pass out. Tricky to explain, I'm betting you know exactly what I mean.

The body load is incredibly heavy. My out of body was so profound all that was left of me was the last breath I took a few seconds prior. I remember my breathing was all there was to “me”, I was somewhere else consciously, suspended outside of space and time, observing the inner workings of my persons, my traumas, my experiences...full of gratitude and empathy for all I’d ever gone through. Yes, fully awake but “I” was completed sedated.
One thing I think is really important is how incredibly relaxed you need to be prior to a trip, and then during a trip allowing your breath to guide you the entire time. It’s the best guide you could ask for, centered on your breath the entire time. So whatever people have to do to Get into a relaxed state I find paramount.

It’s like the dream factor or quality becomes so thick and dense that it takes over

Exactly what happens every night basically if you think about it . It’s cool when fungi does it though because it’s easier to remain lucidity and retain the memory - more or less. Always felt the more fungi i take - the heavier the trip , the more dreamlike it is until finally all reality I’m aware of is engulfed in it and seems no more or less a dream
I used to be scared of high doses because I was unsure of what might happen, but once I realized that, it was much easier to stomach.
Just a dream.

I agree completely. For me it’s all about the experience and then over the next week really practice integrating what I learned. Obviously more and more comes back to you over the course of a few days. The whole point for me, is to hold on to whatever I get from the experience.

Absolutely!!!!! This is why I love bringing mushrooms on my backpacking trips. Nothing like hiking miles into the woods, setting up camp.. eating a good dose and just being present in the moment. No cell phones, no one bugging you - just you and some friends experiencing a present moment. Absolutely beautiful in nature.
Orange - this thread has made me so much more optimistic on taking higher doses. Though, lately my trips have been difficult and I'm afraid to give myself over to the mushrooms lately due to how they have been bullying me... but i feel great after the trip. Its like working out, it burns like fuck, you want to stop.. thr agony.. you can't go on. Then after all of those moments... after its all over with.. you feel great and are sculpting a beautiful body.
I'm so happy you shared your experience with us man!

I use the analogy of the breath anchoring you because like you said, as relaxing and dream like as it is, it’s a ride you have to hold on to for dear life. You get dropped in the deep end and have to learn how to swim on the spot. The breath will teach you to swim and the sooner you learn to trust your ability to breathe through a trip the deeper into the trip you’ll get. After my last trip I felt like I didn’t need another trip for a long time it was so insightful. But now...haha, now we’re back in that space where we’re curious what is waiting for us on the other side of an experience. I’ve been bodybuilding for 13 years, like you said you feel incredible after training and that’s such an accurate observation. I told my wife, who runs marathons, it’ll feel like you finished mile 26 when it’s over. Certain parts of the marathon will feel like a breeze, other parts will feel like you wished you hadn’t started to begin with, tho that fades towards the peak for me. I’ve only had experience with fungi too by the way. Nothing else to speak on as far as other psychs.
