Noob: Making agar plates felt good, inoculation was sloppy

So I finally got all my stuff together. First attempt at agar is underway. Inoculation tomorrow, while the plates are doing their thing I’ll crash course my jar preparation and so on all the way through the process. I’m using brf agar. 12g brf, 14g agar powder and 750ml of water. Screwed up and bought colored food decorating gel instead of food coloring so I didn’t get to turn the agar dark green. Oh well. Here are some pics, I’m sure I’ll get some constructive criticism.

So inoculating my agar jars didn’t feel so sterile. Just felt like I had a lot of rookie mistakes. I flame sterilized the tip of my syringe between every jar but I felt like my flame was too far away from my arm hole. I also forgot to shake up the syringe until I was on the last few jars. I forgot to wipe down the whole syringe with alcohol before starting as well. Oh well. Live and learn I guess...

What is the best way to store my newly inoculated jars as far as temp and lighting goes?

Storage at 20-30 C is good. They'll grow fine in full darkness, but light doesn't hurt. Good luck!

Thanks! On another note, the jars seem cloudy and the lid is obviously not see through. Monitoring growth whether good or bad seems like it’s going to be tough without removing the lid.

If you just inoculated with a liquid suspension then the cloudiness might just be from that moisture and will likely dissipate over time. Best not to open the lids until you're ready to make a transfer.

This is what I mean by low visibility in the jar. How am I supposed to know when I’m done or have an infection without pulling the lid? Will that moisture eventually go away? I guess this is why I’m supposed to be doing this in a Petri dish lol.

Thanks. Hopefully it will clear up. This reminds me of the first few time I brewed beer. Just takes some trial and error and lots of research dialing it all in.
