Thank you!

What do you guys think about how it's looking today?

I'm getting brown stripes on the stems again, like on the first flush. I've read that this is usually caused by poor FAE, but I don't know what else to do apart from slightly opening the grow bag and fanning a 4-5 times each day.

Those pins look happy to me. Don't worry about the stripes.

Moisture is my #1 learning problem, it definitely takes some practice. If you're getting pooling that's not good, though. I'd let them be for at least a day or two and do your best to leave the mister alone. You'd be surprised at how little water is actually needed once you have pins poking out.

Maybe poke some small air holes in top of the grow bag? I'm really clueless on that front though, I've never done a grow using bags, just tubs.

Update from today. Gave them a little mist because it looked dry to me. What do you think?

Hey everyone!

I've been doing some research and as far as I understand it, a sweet smell is usually a sign of some sort of bacterial contamination.

Is this always the case?

I ask this, because the grow kit I bought seems to have a sweet and pleasant smell since before the first harvest. This smell turns into a more earthy/humid/mushroomy smell whenever I mist.

Thank you

You pic looks good. In my experience, fresh mycelium smells "sweet". So no, a sweet smell may indicate mycelium.

If it smells sour or like a moldy-food smell, then yah, definitely not mycelium.

My bacterial tubs had a fruity or cider like smell a lot of times.

Pic looks good so far. I guess those dark stripes on the stem can be from too much water but idk, I’d keep doing what you’re doing.

Thanks guys!

It's a pleasant sweet smell, nothing like fermentation or anything alike.

Do the caps look normal? I don't know how to describe it, but it's visible especially on the biggest mushroom.

Hmm.. I don't know if it gets too much water, because I see no condensation at all on the grow bag now that I leave it slightly open. But, when I mist, it doesn't evaporate quickly and sometimes tends to pool. Maybe it's not warm enough to get proper condensation?
