Wowzers. See if any of the pins are bruising bluish green. Normally they'll be more bruising present in the pins than the fully grown ones.

Should give you an idea if they're active or not. I think I read something about inactive junonius.

You got that already, but I'll give you one more; yes, junionus or closely related.
Don't eat them. Dry them and make tea. And go for the smaller, immature specimens. Have a nice trip! (if they're active, that is đŸ˜€)

Dehydrators work great - I imagine you can't exactly go out an buy one right now... bummer.  I also assume your weather isn't warm and breezy like it is here in CA. Hopefully others will chime in here. What a haul!

Get a dehydrator, you could slice them into small peices and dry them using a fan and wire mesh

Get a paper bag, cut a hole in one corner at the bottom, place mushrooms inside, place fan blowing into bag where the hole cut allows air to flow through, and if desired put a heater blowing heat into the fan from behind or into the path of the fan....

Cheap easy dehydrator... Just toss the bushels around every once and a while. It will take a day or two, but they'll dry.

Hehe not dead guys! I work night shift i only just got home 5 minutes ago, drank half the tub I'd say 500ml or so tasted like a absolute shit had to hold my nose and then ended up gagging up some at the end hahah, surely that should be enough to feel something if they are active
Keep everyone posted!

Ended up drinking the other half of the tub which was more disgusting had lots of floaties, I'd say I've drunk 800ml or so and really not feeling a whole lot been about an hour and a half since ingestion, possibly slight euphoria and i feel like my face and cheeks are warm, I'd say I'm just feeling a placebo, having 0 visuals
You've got to find out somehow hey

Thanks for the update!  The few reports I've heard about Gym trips vary considerably.  I suppose it's sort of a hit and miss?  I'd love to hear others' experiences.

Also, is there a certain method to follow?  Can mistakes be made with water temp too high or too low?

when it comes to this much liquid you should reduce it by 2/3 over a medium to low heat, it will concentrate the liquid

When you have a lot of tea, let it simmer for a while till 2/3 or so has evaporated. You'll get stronger tea đŸ˜‰

If you drank it all and had no effects, they were inactive. Reducing the liquid would've only changed the volume of the drink, not the amount of active chemicals in it.

You could try to use more in a next batch and drink it all at once to maybe get effects. They may be just REALLY low potency. But it did seem like you had a lot in your first batch, so probably not worth it.

exactly,  reducing the liquid is helpful when there is a substantial amount, I would rather drink 10ml vs a 100ml when possible.

OP did say these were on a pine tree stump.  This species on the California coast, at least, is not hallucinogenic.

Totally expected minimal effect with my own Gym tea experiment (found some great clusters just the other day).

I made the tea according to suggestions on this thread - THANK YOU.   I either did it really right, or found the really right Gyms, or both.    :crazy2::mushroom2:  Happy to give details if you're interested... pure fun!
