Storing hydrated coir

Guys, how you doing? So I was able to get 25 qt of damp coir (that's the only thing I was able to get shipped) and just used 3 qts. I'm not planning to use it very soon. Do you know how much time can it last being already damp? As it's already hydrated (around at 30-40% water of field capacity), how can I store it properly? I have it sitting at the garage right now. Searched in the forum and nothing. Its quite a lot, but if its the only way I can dehydrate it in parts sunlighting it, dunno... What do you guys think?

Got a 64 qrt cooler next to me that I made 3-4 weeks ago. Still no mold other than the Mycelium from the WBS that I accidentally dropped in it while spawning a few weeks ago. I'm convinced "Coir Don't Mold"

Most people store it in lizard terrariums. With lizards

Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess then that leaving it out in the plastic bag that it came would be just fine. Although I have one of these coolers too, but I suppose there wouldn't be any difference, right? Both plastic bags and cooler would be airtight

Just close up the bag well and sleep peacefully.

Definitely freeze it ! Put it in gallon sized bags and freeze it . One batch per bag.. Then when you need it just microwave until hot and steaming. Check field capacity and spawn to it .

Well, the reason why I let it dry out is because I just leave it in a bucket, no additional work required. When I need it again, I just rehydrate.
But back to your reptiles case. I used to have a shit ton of tarantulas and things would definitely grow on coir from time to time if it was wet. For most animals you want to have your coir way below field capacity. Not because of the coir itself, but there's always that remaining part of the cricket in some corner.

Didn't know that. I'll take the time to dry it out then

It's most definitely fine to store it hydrated 99% of the time, just make sure you didn't introduce any debris. I just don't see a reason to deal with bags and whatnot, when I can just leave it in my coir bucket.
