The Perfect Mini-Mono Plastic Tote
    #26603177 - 04/15/20 02:35 PM (3 years, 9 months ago)

So I’ve been searching ever so diligently for an affordable yet perfect size mini-mono tote. I like the size of 6qt shoe boxes, but don’t like the idea of dub tub (wastes tub) or plastic bag covering. 50+ qt monos are just too big for a newbie like me who want to avoid sgfc. I’ve found nice 4x4x8H containers meant for pasta storage but they’re $6 each.

These totes are 11.69”L x 7.09”W x 11.52”H

$12 for 3 totes ($4/ea)

I am going to try these with Bods unmodified Mono method

They seem kinda tall.  Not as much surface area I think ... Less surface area=less pins .
On the other hand they might be bigger fruits so maybe it evens it out.

If you double stack 6qt shoebox totes you’re at ~10”.
Do you think the extra 1.5”  will change the surface area that much? I figured the extra space would be good for tall fruits?
Shoebox dimensions (13 5/8" x 8 1/4" x 4 7/8")

Sorry after I posted I looked at the dimensions and checked my shoebox when I got home from work .
They just appeared taller and narrow.. should work pretty well.. no need to unlatch the lid as they grow

I wonder if leaving the lid latched with just some 1/8 or 5/32 holes scattered across the top would provide enough fae to make them seak out.

If these do well sure would be a sweet looking and orderly grow.

I kinda wanna get some to hand out as gifts once ready to fruit. They look cool to me.

I’ll do a couple with holes and a few unmodded to see the side-by-side progress. I will update once I spawn to bulk (mini-bulk).

If I received one of these ready to fruit, I’d be a happy camper
