I am new and looking for help for my 22 year old daughter (whom has anxiety, mood issues & PTSD related to a serious trauma at age 13). My research tells be she would be far better off microdosing mushrooms then getting on prescription drugs. I really need help getting started in this process. Will pay for local mentor to help me learn some things. Would be very Grateful for some help. Feel free to private message me if possible.

Has she tried therapy? I very much doubt microdosing will help with those problems without therapy or some form of self help.

I second that microdosing would probably only be effective in conjunction with therapy, or as InnerWisdom has said, some form of self help (perhaps meditation, journaling, etc). Good luck!

I would also agree with this, therapy in conjuction with the use of psychedelics would be far more beneficial. Using psychedelics can force past trauma to the surface and allow you to view it and analyse it in a different way. However I feel that it would be far more effective to have professional support to ask the right questions and guide things in the right direction.
I myself have been on SSRI's and benzodiazepines for anxiety and mild depression in the past, this however wasn't due to childhood trauma, more just generalised anxiety. The meds helped me for what I needed them for at the time however when it comes to overcoming trauma I agree with you, they wouldn't be my first choice either. More of a way to treat symptoms and not so much to deal with the underlying cause.
I have read a number of great reports about the success people have had using psychedelics to overcome trauma, microdosing being one option but mainly using higher doses alongside therapy. Similarly I believe people have had a lot of success using MDMA combined with therapy as well.
If what you are after is general information on how to grow mushrooms then everything you need can be found online, there are some great guides on this site.
I can reccomend a book you may find useful: The psychedelic explorer's guide. Just to give you some more information on how to approach and prepare.
I think therapy is important no matter what route you decide to take, and trying different types is also important. Have you heard of EMDR therapy?
I hope your daughter finds something that works for her.

I concur, to an extent.
Though, with that said, it is totally possible to work on oneself and sort things out with-out therapy or a therapist involved, using just the mushroom....And I highly suggest MACRO doses much more so than I do micro-doses.
Mushrooms, and psychedelics in general, have helped me sort out myself and helped with past issues/trauma over the years with out ever having a therapist involved. I can't afford a therapist anyways, such things are only available to people that have the money for it.
Learning a little bit about the mushrooms and the experience and learning how to create a comfortable setting that is conducive to allowing one to go inwards and reflect can go a long ways....I feel a lot of work can be done while alone with oneself and the mushrooms, with no therapist involved.
Tip-toe into it...become familiar with and build a connection with the mushrooms, working with them once or twice a month.
I mean no doubt therapy can help and can go a long ways, but I don't feel that it is required at all to reap benefits/healing from mushrooms & psychedelics in general. IME, as well as many others, the mushrooms can do it all on their own.

Yeah but the glaring issue here is the mentor and money. This place is all you need. Ask here and read.

Always better to have a therapist even if they’re serving as a sounding board, or someone to hear about your insights. This storytelling seems beneficial for processing the experiences especially if the intention is resolution of past trauma. A therapist who is kind, loving and understanding (and open to the phenomenology and benefits of the psychedelic experience) is preferable.

You should try a therapist before you try alternative medication/medicine. She may not entirely enjoy the idea of consuming illegal drugs and you should ask what she wants to do as well.

I assumed she had considered it herself and was OK with it, but yes. It has to be something that is entirely her choice. Especially when it comes to something as powerful as psychedelics.

I feel like this is a subtle way for OP to ask for drugs/sources. Psychedelics are not some instantaneous silver bullet miracle cure for mental illness. Microdosing in particular has never been shown to be more effective than traditional routes like therapy, etc. Large doses have been shown to have some effectiveness at treating mental illness, but they need to be combined with ongoing traditional therapy like cognitive behavioral therapy.
The first step should really be getting the person into traditional therapy. And afterwards, if they themselves want to, then maybe they should try to seek out mushrooms or LSD.
But don't try to buy drugs on the forum, that's against the rules and it puts us all in danger.

Ok let me go against the flow here. There are a lot of people that report positive outcomes for issues your daughter has from microdosing and you're on the right track if you're trying to avoid unnatural meds like Rx.
There are plenty of people here willing to help when you have questions about growing so there's no need to find one person to do it or to pay for it.
As far as therapy goes, I see no value in having someone ask you to focus on your problems. Continuously focusing on our problems can reinforce those issues and IMO sometimes it's better to find other ways because I don't know how you move on from something that you constantly focus on. Shrooms seem to help the mind find the correct path on it's own and has been shown to help the brain make new connections. My understanding of PTSD is that the brain digs ruts in itself always running down the fear response path. A minor re-wiring can go a long way in changing that. Psilocybin also helps relax an over-active amygdala which is the fear response regulator
I'm sorry your daughter is dealing with hard things but I think you're on the right path. You're a good parent for trying to help and thinking outside the box
