Does anyone wear respirators for spore lung ?

The past few tubs I’ve harvested the day after I get a phlegmy cough and I’m concerned I may be inhaleing to many spores, am I paranoid? Do you guys wear masks when harvesting?
I don’t float my subs because my tubs are modified, so I’m bent over the tub reaching in to cut the stems.

Are you talking cubes?

It should be fine. I’ve been more worried about huffing mold spores lately. Seems like the warmer weather is jacking up my contams.

You can develop (or already have I guess) an allergy to cube spores. If you’re sensitive to that kind of stuff I would harvest earlier. It may just be mental thing but I harvest before the veil breaks, preferably before the cap opens more than halfway, and I feel like they’re stronger per weight.

And AKA I got sick for like 10 days when I was younger and just started growing. I had a bunch of failed jars and experiments that I took too lightly while disposing of.  I had the chills, fever, and just felt like a super flu with no puking. It sucked lol. Always be careful even if you think you know what you’re dealing with...there is some nasty stuff out there
