Question about the tubs themselves. I have 2 unaltered tubs currently.
One is a 15 QT (14L) sterilite with the nice latchy handles. It's about 6 in tall.
The other is a little bigger, 7 inches tall, guessing somewhere around 18-20 QT. It's lid doesnt latch as well as the sterilite.
Considering I have pint jars running at the moment, are these going to be too small (short)?

A few questions.
1. When initially placing them in the tub with the lid completely covered do you do the 12hour on/12 hour off light cycle?
2. For a 2nd flush do you roll in coir after the dunk? Or just dunk and place back in tub?

Yeah, 12/12. And I'll usually re roll if I dunk.. or skip the dunk and just mist heavily for a few days

What the thoughts on the range of size of tubs that works well for this? Something like a 70Qt?

I think the one I'm using is a 54qt.. haven't tried anything smaller, but as long as you have enough head room for the fruits, it won't be an issue.. maybe sometime else has experience with a smaller tub

The design is so foolproof, anything that can fit the amount of cakes you wana fruit will work. Just adjust FAE accordingly
Edit: Thanks @Mateja

I just finished my first flush using a SGFC and I discovered this Water Tub technique and few days ago and I want to try this for my 2nd flush.
The SGFC tek says to not roll the cake in verm after dunking it for the 2nd flush. In this instance that I want transfer those cakes from SGFC to the Water Tub do I need to roll them in verm for this?

Interesting. But maybe Iām confused why the water tub technique calls to re-roll the cakes in coir/verm on subsequent flushes, but I do not have to re-roll these cakes that came from the SGFC. What happened to this cakes that makes the situation different ?

Since you rolled in just verm this time, I'd skip the second roll. But, yeah next time do C/V or just coir is cool too.

Sorry, Coir/Verm. But, just do coir like the tek suggests.

And does C/V mean some mix of the 2 products together? Or just the idea that you can use either one?

A mix of the 2. Either will do the trick, Your just giving the myc better water retention.

Here's some pics. I'm asking if I'm at a good place with these to turn the lid upside down and crack it.
These ones have been in the tub with the lid closed for 48 hours. They fruited the first time in a SGFC and I dunked but did not roll.

These have also been in for 48 hours and I dunked and did roll in verm. These never really fruited in my SGFC and they are going for their 1st flush:

These have been in for 24 hours and I dunked and did not roll. This 1 cake has come hairy growth on it. But none of the rest of them have anything else like that.

Do you generally just open the lid after 48 hours or am I looking for a more specific level of mycelium growth. I'm about to leave for work for the net 10 hours so its either leave them closed for another bit of time or I open them now.
