great post!
This is my 1st time doing cakes actually. Before i did invitro and stones only.
COVID got me unprepared. So i do this water tub tek - no humidity meter nothing.
You say you give them spray once i day. I really don't know how much should i spray them, so i do a little in the morning and at night.
Its day 3 and no new pings have shown signs of life lol hope i didn't screw it up.

i think its best to invest on humidity meter.
never seen only water tub "FC". Mateah shows great results with it, so i'll trust him when he says its sufficient method.
If you are interested in in vitro, check this post by Violet - if you are trying to maintain low-key grow. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/19552215
Good luck!

these substrates are the verm layers of the BRF cakes (you know, people put it as a filter).
Didn't rolled in anything, yoloed them. No verm - nothing.

I don't think transportation will do anything to your cakes. The way I imagine it is: you move the cakes from incubation to fruiting environments. The only slight setback I had from moving cakes around, was that I squeezed them too hard when I was handling them and it left some bruising.

You can mist them whenever you see they are dry. Once the small drops from the spray disappear, you can lightly mist and fan. Never heard of this strain btw, so not much I can say about it. As many people say "a cube is a cube". Keep us posted.

Yes, mate, it might be something unpleasant. I think I had it before, but I've done cakes just 3-4 times. Let's see what the more experienced folks will say, but if you are concerned that it's bacteria, I'd quarantine it just to be safe.

Well damn... if i see yellow/red cakes I put the hazmat suit on lmao I always have so much more yield from bulk in SGFC, so I kind of gave up on cakes. Maybe I just suck at doing them lol
