Found in Missouri...any help in identifying?!?!?
    #26600839 - 04/14/20 03:32 PM (3 years, 9 months ago)

While hunting morels today in Mid Missouri, my daughter and I found this big fella growing off a tree. Can anyone positively identify the species? We are finding online that it’s possibly a prince, but until I know for sure, it’s not being eaten.http://

Thank you! Never even got that when trying to find online. Now that you’ve given me the species, I see it’s edible, but perhaps way too mature to be a yummy edible. What are your thoughts? (Thank goodness we have many pound of morels...lol)

I think they taste gross personally, like a firmer cucumber or watermelon rind

Eat small, young specimens or the margins of large specimens
