Posts like that will quickly make you unwelcome here. Your own quote, which matches Falcon's quote, confirms that you lied about 80% being asymptomatic.

I didn't call you a liar. You did lie, however. 80% fall somewhere below needing oxygen. That means that people like Chris Cuomo who are very much symptomatic fall within that 80%.
When you get back from your vacation, you can read this and respond, although I doubt you will.

Just because you don't need emergency care doesn't mean you're asymptomatic.

I also attack my side if I think they're wrong. People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

While the range of symptoms for the two viruses is similar, the fraction with severe disease appears to be different. For COVID-19, data to date suggest that 80% of infections are mild or asymptomatic, 15% are severe infection, requiring oxygen and 5% are critical infections, requiring ventilation.

They also have a low travel rate. Traveling is how the virus was spread throughout the world. So countries with high travel rates, naturally have high rates of coronavirus.

Shows the foolishness of those who are against quarantine to contain the virus.
Was just listening to the news, the Northern Territory hasn't had a positive case in almost a week(South Aus also), so they are now having the conversation on when to lift some of the physical distancing restrictions. Pretty sure they closed their border first.

if you have a link to the opinion column about lack of leadership, would be interested to see what criticisms are claimed
tho my favourite Finland-specific one so far is still:

New Zealand may be my favourite country for handling it right now tho gotta let the kids know their holidays will be safe

yeah but death count isn't about rate of coronavirus infection it is about capacity and willingness to treat people who are already infected
taken as a %, Finland's current rate of death from Coronavirus cases is a full 1% lower than Canada's rate of death if Canada were as effective as Finland at preventing death, if we had their % rating our current deaths would be around 475 instead of 780 a treatment difference of 300 saved Canadian lives

to be fair, both MagicMush and myself are from Canada so comparing local numbers has more immediate relatability than comparing the US to Finland tho quite certain if the US had Finland's % death rate thousands of lives would be saved

I am aware of both of your nationalities, I keep track of that sort of thing.
The only reason I bring up the US as a comparison is because the US is still considered to be the global leader in biomedical engineering. China may be beating us in mechanical and civil engineering, science, and patents, but the US was, as of the beginning of 2020, considered the biomedical powerhouse of the world.
I think that should be re-considered.

Then you are prolly also aware of how obnoxious it is to try and discuss how things are going in Canada only to have a US citizen burst in and comment on how Canadians talking about life in Canada as compared to Finland, which was the country of discussion, shows that the US is no longer as important in the international sphere
the US had no place in the discussion; chiming in that the US has no place in the discussion because it is no longer a world leader comes across as typical American "we're the most noteworthy" egoism

Perhaps it should be but sure as shit wouldn't be comparing Canada to China as an example of Canada needing to handle Coronavirus better my posted meme indicated six leaders of note for their handling of Coronavirus, and Winnie the Pooh was not among them any more than the Orange Man

What do you think they add to New Bjork pizza? Coronavirus. The tastiest virus of all. Thats why bats are delicious.
To be fair, all those places on your meme are known for efficiency. Im loking at the nations with less problem like the Stans, and wonder if its lack of testing or how unpopulated they are

Number of deaths are directly linked to number of old people with comorbities infected.
The insane amount of deaths in Spain is because our demography is old as fuck and because the virus reached a lot of old people with conorbities.
The numbers of Spanish deaths are actually kinda worse since deaths of people not tested for coronavirus doesn't count here.
The first ones than needs to be isolated as hell are old and sick people, do not repeat our mistakes

The party line is that old people should be proud to sacrifice themselves for the economy. Alex Jones even said he's willing.

We are severely undercounting too. We are only counting people who die when they’ve already had a diagnosis. 8x the normal number of people died in NYC on the street or at home in the first five days of April. 1100 people who will likely never get counted.
