water beads forming on top of mold or myc?

Recently I have had what looks like a contaminant growing in my monotub, it is white with a light green tint. It grows pretty fast, and has been worrying me for a while. Could someone help me out? Could it be aerial mycelium? Thank you so much for the help.

Hmmm I think you might have a green trich contamination there. All you can do is keep an eye on it and wait.
If it is and starts getting fuzzy green, and your first flush hasn't happened, then it most likely came from your jars.

these are old pictures, I've since salted them. Before I salted, they turned green, but not fuzzy. What do you recommend I do at this point? I have huge pins at the moment, but some areas have been taken by the mold. The surrounding areas around the mold to be specific.

Any fruits that don't get rotted and have it growing on them are ok. but there's not anything you can do.

There isn't any growth on top of most pins, but it is growing under some pins, should I expect anything from them?

Green trich is another fungus, not mold. It grows white mycelium right along with your other mycelium and is difficult to identify. it has a slightly different growth pattern and is a lot whiter as you can see. This happened before your flushes then it was most likely growing unnoticed in a jar.

The pins growing on it will start to rot probably as it will start to grow up their stems. Remember they're vegetables so if they look rotten don't eat them đŸ˜‰

Thank you so much for your help. Do you think salting it will slow the process? I have such a beautiful cluster of half inch pins growing right now and the mold is getting to it.

It would only slow it on the applied surface area if so. It's growing down into the substrate just like cube mycelium does. It's colonizing in all directions. Some people try cutting it out but I would need to see what it looks like now to know if that would help.

AS you can see, it has expanded quite a bit, and I have excessively used salt as kind of a way to cope with this hahaha
Heres another pic

Mold can be just as murderous. You can see the large circle area that's different and some satellite growths of it. It's all through that tub. You will just have to keep watching it hopefully you can get some fruits off it that are ok.

If it turned green that fast, it's most likely trich.
I had to toss a tub just recently.

Yeah it’s some kind of Trich. Which is a freakin shame with all those pins popping up.
Just remember that as it’s turning green it’s doing its reproduction thing and you could end up with an extra heavy spore load in your grow area that can up your chances for bad things in the future. And some people are negatively affected by trich spores. Like allergy type stuff.
So get what you can from the tub but don’t wait too long to get it out of there.

His looks so much more fuzzy and that's what has me confused about it even the salt that was put on it wouldn't suddenly make it go green to white

I think that’s a salt pile you’re seeing. At least that’s how I took it from his statement lol.

And I've read that but trich is still categorized as a fungus and not mold so I dunno I guess
