F+ Florida- but doesn't look like pics

This is my first grow, and I'm a little curious that the fruits don't look like the pictures I can find of the F+ Florida on line. I bought the spores from a very reputable vendor so I don't figure they sent me the wrong strain. I thought maybe it was immature (so wasn't fully developed), but it started to fall over and the veil had partially broken. I'm curious if anyone has experience with this strain and can tell me if I'm trippin, or what?

If you grow from spores appearances will vary. Also conditions

From what I’ve seen vendors will put up the most unique looking phenotypes they can to rep each variety. But they’re super uncommon.
I was all stoked on Malabar coast cuz the vendor pics were super tall with flat little caps with the veils attached.
Then I grew them and they look like every other mushroom.

I kind of thought maybe the conditions played a part. This is such an amazingly twisty-turny hobby.Just when you think you have one little thing worked out, ten more pop up to make you doubt. Guess that's what makes it fun.
Thanks!

Aka I’ve grown Malabars and they came out like that. Multispore is luck of the draw.

Really??
I looked up a few grows and they all looked normal so I figured it was a one off the vendor had.
Now I’m gonna have to bust out my prints and go hunting. The one thing I liked about them is they just wouldn’t contam. Even gross spawn shoeboxes went for months.
Op what were you expecting the f+ to be? I never heard of them so I pulled up some grows and they look pretty similar.

I went and grabbed a few of the pics I had been looking at. I noticed that a lot of them were being referred to as F+ Florida White (kinda missed it the first time through). The smaller fruits on the pic to the right do look more like mine.

Well if you had waited another 8 hours or so the cap would’ve gotten much lighter color and flattened like in those pictures.
The only reason to wait that long is to take prints though. Or cuz it looks cool for pics.
I pull mine early now just cuz they’re much easier to store and look better with round caps.
You pulled yours at the perfect time imo, it’s got a nice color too. Like woodgrain almost.

Oh you’ll be trippin! 4g dry weight will get you there. Nice looking fruit, what does the rest of the tub look like?

Thanks! The is tub pretty sparse (see pic), but it's my first rodeo so I'm delighted not have a tub full of green tentacles rattling the lid I have a little yellow stuff on the top, but it's not getting any worse, and it doesn't smell bad, so I'm letting the tub roll for awhile. The big fruit in the attached pic was about 25 grams (just for scale). I figure I won't get a big flush but I'm considering it a win for my first try.

Looks dry in there. I think there is an Albino F+ from crossing with PF Albino, but I think there is a regular F+ as well, were you expecting albinos or whites? I think the variety might be called florida white or something.
--------------------
I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

I believe F+ is also called Florida white, it's not albino, just sometimes produces white caps, the albino cross is called failbino.

Looks like it’s battling some contamination... probably the reason it’s so sparse

Yeah- I've been keeping a close eye on it.
The corner is a rookie brain fart.
The yellow stuff showed up a couple of days ago, but hasn't progressed. I posted about it, and it was suggested I monitor it and see if gets any worse, starts changing color- or starts to smell bad. So far, staying stable.
The RH has been a consistent 90% which I thought was ok moisture wise. To be honest, I've been a bit confused by the mono-tub discussions. Pore tape vs polyfil, duct tape until fruiting, then poly-fil. Some say mist & fan once a day, some four times a day, then others say that a properly made monotub should be left alone until fruited. I'm sure in many ways all of the above are true based on the experience of the grower, but it's tough as a noobie to be sure. The only course of action I decided I could take was to give it my best shot and see what grew. I used micropore tape, and left the tub alone. I have wondered if the micropore tape was providing enough FAE.
It seemed happy until the yellow stuff appeared. Someone else (in another thread) mentioned it looked dry so I began misting and fanning twice a day.
One mistake I did make was that I did not realize the light cycle timer was set wrong and they got about four straight days of 24hr light- which is when the yellow stuff showed up.
As far as what I expected them to look like- I went back to the vendor's site to look at pics and they no longer had it listed, so no pics. I really didn't have any set expectations, but once I saw ALL of the varied pics out there I got to wondering...
At the end of the day they are cute little buggers and I can't wait to progress to the next tub.
Thanks for the replies!
