Pans?? SoCal little brown mushrooms.

A friend sent me this picture from southern California.

They just got rain on and off for a week or two and these popped up in the yard.

Im waiting on pics of gills and spores but do these look active?

I was just reading about Cinctulus and stuff.

Looks more like Psathyrella sp.  To me

not cinctulus,  Psathyrella is a good possibility but lets see the gills.

Looks more like a white stem base or just mycelium to me :shrug:

Yeah, looks like Psathyrella or a closely related genus.

Yeah,, P. aquatica, that's pretty crazy, and as far as I know the only species of gilled mushrooms to do that.
