Hey everyone very new to this so apologies in advance for lack of knowledge. Myself and a friend went out today after a good couple days of rain in south island of new zealand. Found these in a garden bed, growing on wood bark chips.
I think the main active species around here is psilocybe subaeruginosa, hoping one of you could shed some light for us.
Most of them have dark brown gills although there were a couple that were more creamy. All gills are attached.
Most of the stems are ~2cm long with diameter of ~5mm. All are cream to white colour. Caps are all conical, goldish colour fading to white/cream edges. We are attempting a couple of spore prints, from what i can see after a couple of hours they are a dark grey to black colour.

Thanks! Very helpful. Coprinellus micaceus makes sense - wiki tells me the gills quickly darken after picking as they start to autodigest which seems to be happening to these ones already after just a couple hours. Some of them definitely had the silvery spots when we first saw them too.
Better luck next time i guess!
