Dunking after first flush (PF Tek)?

I have a few questions. I am using PF Tek with ½ pint jars. How long after first flush do you dunk again? And after dunking do you roll again in vermiculite? Some cakes I crumbled into a tray (after first dunking). After first flush how would I rehydrate substrate in the tray (9”X7”) ?
Thanks

You won’t always get a defined flush with an MS grow, so it’s a judgment thing. When most mushrooms are mature and there aren’t too many little ones then you can harvest all, leave any real small pins if there are any and dunk. No need to re roll them.
Did you crumble your cakes into a bulk substrate? If not then you’re just stressing out the myc and making it recover without gaining anything for the extra energy spent. To rehydrate those you can just pour water in and let them soak for a while, a couple hours, then dump.
If there’s not enough room for a decent amount of water just pour a cup around the edges and see if it gets absorbed, if so pour a lil more.
You got cakes fruiting now?

thanks for replying.
I currently have some cakes fruiting and others that have already fruited and were harvested.
Trays. I just too some of the cakes from the jars and graded them into a tray, then cased with vermiculite. Placed in fruiting chamber. They fruited after about 10 days.
If I understand you correctly, you are saying that I should not do this but crumble into a bulk substrate. Can you explain more about this process and what is a bulk substrate? And would this give me more fruit?
