Kilindi Iyi, teacher and explorer has passed on.
Kilindi is the man who came to our attention advocating doses exceeding 20 dry grams of psilocybin mushrooms.
He was a radical pioneer in the psychedelic community and his work has pushed forwards the movement, and given it fresh life and courage.
I was personally inspired and went ahead and ate 20g dry one Christmas Day a few years ago. I think that's why his death has affected me, because Kilindi, although we never met l, has left an imprint on my life.
There is a gofundme to cover his funeral costs;
It reads:
"Greetings, family and friends... I come to you all during this difficult time to ask for some assistance. Around 3:10pm Baba Kilindi transitioned due to this horrid virus leaving behind children, grandchildren a huge family and my mother.. His wife of 20 years. Community, I’m asking that we come together and support my mother who has limited sources of income with a mortgage, car note, bills etc... I know that these times are difficult for everyone but nothing is too small. We love you and thank you❤️ Even if all you can send is peace and love, we need it."

Perhaps we can have a discussion of his ideas or just pay our respects to a great man.
An important mind in our community, whose ideas will echo through for a long long time.
Rest In peace

I heard about this earlier today. Very sad.
So I listened to Kilindi's youtube talk "Mushrooms and Modernity". At one point he talks about the use of hieroglyphics in many ancient societies. He said that hieroglyphics are an ancient technology that was intended by all of those societies to be combined with psychedelics! He said on high doses the hieroglyphics become alive and active and communicate knowkedge to the observer. He said on really high doses you enter into the hieroglyph and interact with it! This man was a true explorer! He will be missed.

It’s crazy, but it’s true. The only part of the mushroom experience I honestly can’t say a thing about despite knowing it first hand. I generally describe them as geometry of some sort, their potential uses the way it’s categorized and organized and it’s complexity is way way to magical and perfect compared to all the other aspects of tripping, they are like a personal super quantum computer with perfect A.I. Capable of feats that seem like magic. Using one..Is highly recommended.
Ps. Only became apparent on doses of 8g team of ape to me, and they don’t go away like normal illusions and hallucinations until the trip is waning down and fading out.
I plan to explore and experiment with them in the next week or so, and draw them as perfectly as I can so I can see what if any is their relationship to things not just in my mind.
Btw, Kilindi , is a warrior, may he Rest In Peace. He challenged me to not be afraid of truly breaking through to a whole other side, not even MCkenna could do that for me.

I was never a fan of the guy at all from the few talks/presentations/videos I've heard from him...He seemed very full of himself from the talks I've seen. I've actually been meaning to make a thread about this dude in recent times but considering he just passed I'll hold off for a bit.
RIP

I've seen hieroglyphic OEV's before on high doses of cactus. Mainly of a squared off hieroglyphic man running sideways. His image was embedded in rock, a whole horizontal row of the same hieroglyph over and over again. And the man was running!
But I've never looked at photos of hieroglyphs before while tripping. Next time I'm going to try this. And I'll think of Kilindi while I do it!

Hey my fellow fox,
He also related the high doses to the same experiences shown in Ant man and Dr. Strange.
Also looking at a papyrus of egyptian art tells a story as you are able to shrink down and become apart of the scene. The same with authentic Persian carpets made with syrian rue seeds crushed into the dyes and mandala tapestry or images showing different levels of being

I was looking at the ceiling at my brothers house on his bed lol. the whole ceiling was full of hieroglyphs that were moving telling some ancient story.....was one of the craziest trips I've ever had.

Right but the word drug only adds to the stigma of an already taboo’d natural healer

I mean I don’t put much more stock in these drugs than what they are, regardless of dose.
If the guy had a positive impact I guesss that’s good but I wouldn’t say much about any truth claims he makes.
Natural healer? Just a title.

I’ve yet to see any false claims from him. So what is your purpose for mushroom if you don’t believe it to be a natural healer? Don’t answer that let me guess ... Profit and a good time?

I just see it as a drug that has some benefits with PTSD and depression. Using it to make claims about reality is where one should draw the line.
I mean my mom is a “shaman” and I don’t put much stock into here stuff but it makes he happy so I say nothing.

Isn't it strange that Kilindi left his family in poverty? He didn't seem like someone who didn't provide for his family. He was pretty successful, right? I almost donated to the go fund me, then I wondered if it's a scam. Does anyone know how to find out if this is legit? The go fund me doesn't say it's for funeral costs. Seems to be for his wife to pay her bills.
