Do you need licence for supplying restaurants?
    #26593242 - 04/11/20 11:04 AM (3 years, 9 months ago)

Hello, recently I became interested in growing gourmet mushrooms and now I am doing research, and thinking that maybe I can grow mushrooms for a few selected restaurants as a part time job. Do I need a licence for that kind of job? And if I have a space already, is growing on a small scale profitable at all?
thank you.

Tuning in for the advice.
Started a similar thread a while back but got nigd

I do know that you don’t need a license of any kind to sell WHOLE and UNPROCESSED produce (mushrooms). Basically, you can’t sell diced, canned, dried mushrooms. But whole, fresh mushies are fair game.

Depends on where you live on how they do it. Most likely when selling to restaurants you would need to get a business license. Some places require one for each town/city that you have a restaurant that you sell to in.

Plan to win or you are planning for failure. Don't let anyone tell you you can't do it. Just figure out the solution. Even if that means banging your head on a wall until the solution oozes out of you.
