To be content in life. Regardless of job or living situation particulars. Just that lasting feeling of well being and enjoyment etc.

I just want to be happy. I think I am. I try harder than some people which is encouraging. But if I had to reach for the sky well beyond day to day acquiescence to the chaos, I'd love to get rich making music just enough to get comfy and have something for the kids then I could basically just give the rest away to charities and stuff. Being content and is great but taking that feeling and trying to give it to someone else is some good feels.

I would love to build myself a house too. I want it in the middle of the woods or somewhere private like that. I can kinda do whatever I want there, no prying eyes.

I don't want to have to waste time and energy to obtain money. I wish it was a non issue so I can do whatever it is I want. What is it that I want to do? It changes. One week i'm a serious fisherman, the next a mycologist, the next a bodybuilder, then an astrophysicist, etc.
Bottom line: Freedom.

two kinds of happy:
happy in life
happy with life
many people are happy with their lives but not happy in the moment
many people are happy moment to moment but are not happy with their lives
optimizing both can be tricky

Total freedom is its own prison in an ironic sense.
But for me I wish for oblivion, to watch the extinction of all things and the silencing of the rhythm. In short the same wish I had as a kid; the end of the world.

Oh I get it. You almost have to be delusional to be constantly satisfied because satisfaction is measured against negative experiences. Without an influx of fuckedupshit, good will get stale and old.

Not at all, just that freedom to do anything is a prison. The total freedom people wish for doesn’t exist.

I think it doesn't matter what you want it ultimately matters how you feel about what you want or even perceive "want".
I now change what I want. I just want to be happy in the moment and with life like previously stated. I think most of us are already there but sometimes we get caught up in the negative moments and drag it out and blind ourselves from it.

Well I didn't ask for total freedom. Just freedom to do what I want. Nature/life will keep you in check.

I think the prison example might be wrong about them being happy. Sounds more like a mask to me.
I’ll end with “be careful what you wish for”.

If it's a mask then it's not happiness, IMO.
