Help identifying mushrooms * 1
    #26591848 - 04/10/20 06:56 PM (3 years, 9 months ago)

Hey guys,

I have recently moved to the south island in NZ and need help id'ing these shrooms. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can't tell if any are libertys or not as i haven't had experience with them and don't look to bruise blue.

They were growing in pine forest in some mulch that was there. Along the outskirts of the mulch near tall grass.

Gills:
Gills look to be spread and haven't seen any spore prints but can see what looks like brown spores on some that were under others.

Stem:
Quite skinny and looked to be whitish when not picked but kinda orangey/brown once picked

Cap:
Caramel/brown with olders ones turning grayish and turning greyish once picked. The other species has caramel tops like subs but cannot see bluing.

Spore print color:
Not sure yet but looks to be brown

Bruising:
No real colour bruising

There were two species. One looked just like subs but not sure if they differ in the south. I'm used to getting aucklandii and haven't been in the game a couple years haha. They don't seem to bruise blue though.

First is parasola (psathyrella) conopilus, second looks like galerina.

You won't find liberty caps in the forest by the way. And they look quite different.
