PF style cakes?? sorry if my questions are dumb, i've been a herb cultivator, i'm just now trying to start growin shrooms..
maybe i got the wrong growing guide, but it said to use vermiculite and powerized brown rice.

You may want to look in the growers section in The Shroomery. Check out the MMGG and the PF guide. They are pretty much for beginers. Good luck on your adventure.
