Thanks for the answers!
As I am a complete newbie and went picking for the first time ever. If you or someone else could give me a little more insight into if they're edible, potency, what to expect etc.
Thanks

The first two are inedible and poisonous, respectively. Most gyms are weakly active and taste horrible. Tea is the way to go and you need at least 10-20g dry. Start low if it's your first time π

The Gymnopilus might be active. Too young to really get a good idea of what exactly it is, appears to be luteofolius clade. If there are more where you found them, go pick some older specimens and post more pics. In pin and small button form most of them look similar.

I probably won't be going back there very soon as it's about an hour's drive away. I'll try to make tea, even if they're not active it's still safe to drink that tea right? As it shouldn't be poisonous.

Yes, should be safe, there aren't any poisonous gymnopilus species. Heard rumours of allergic reactions from ingesting gyms, but I think that would be very rare. I don't think you'll get much out of it, but try and see π Remember to dry them first.

Yep, will try. Since they were in the same container with the poisonous ones and were touching, should I maybe wash them?

Nah, they're fine π Only one of those were slightly poisonous. But if it makes you feel better π

Isn't this one a bit dark for a sulphur tuft? If hypholoma I'd say capnoides or similar.
