Severely blue bruising 1

Hi everyone. So After I harvested my mushrooms I dried them with a fan. Unfortunately they went very blue during the drying process. I understand the bluing means loss in potency. I was planning to dose 2.7 grams dry but because they have went so blue they have probably lost a lot of potency? Does anyone one have experience with this and could give me some advice?
Also if you look at the photo Some of the mushrooms have even started turning black and feel oily and not dry. SHould I just get rid of these or should I keep them?

If it dont feel dry its because it aint, throw em in the dehydrator longer then immediately jar/bag em up(not the crappy little ziplocs though) when they say "cracker" dry they mean it. That sh*t should snap and crunch just like a cracker haha, sometimes mine have to sit on the dehydrator for over a whole fckn day before they hit that point
If you dont have one you could try a cookie sheet in your oven on the lowest setting, aint the best method but itll work. Or try askin friends or family who might have one n letcha borrow it for a little while. Can even say youre drying "fruit" and wouldnt be lyingxD

I know this is probably hard to answer but how much of a potency drop could there be with these mushrooms?

Hard to say how much potency they have lost. The best way to find out is to take them in a measured dose

could these mushrooms be contaminated ? They have gotten even darker in colour. I am starting to worry its some sort of mold growing on them.

Nah, its just blueing/bruising. If they mold over, u would notice a fine hair-like material on the shrooms.

When you fan dry them you have to hang them in a screen bag type deal so they are free floating and the air is running through. Those look like they were just laying flat maybe with a fan blowing at them.
A dehydrator is pretty much a necessary investment if you’re going to keep this up but you can try the fan or low setting oven to save these. If you do the oven though also leave the door cracked with your fan pointing inside.

I have had them under a fan for 10 hours now. They are drying very very slowly. I have also turned on a dehumidifier beside them. I am starting to think they are rotting.

Looking into purchasing a good dehydrator, before buying one for $60 then having to get a better one down the road, not just for this hobby. I just dried 3 oz on a window screen in front of a fan for 2 days, then used a desiccant in a tupperware/tub for the rest, worked fine for me. I am not that credible but I noticed when drying on a plate in front of the fan that pieces laying did start to discolor a lot more, so I switched to the screen instead

They aren't rotting. It's just not the best way to dry them.
