The way people act

People never seizes to amaze me. Sometimes i am sure that i live my life on a totally different frequency then the rest of the population. ?Why do people act and say the things they do? Do they totally lack understanding of other peoples perception? For example: some people try and sneak in negative references about me or someone else that is sitting right in front of them during a conversation, and assume that me or whoever wont catch it. Sometimes its so blatantly obvious that i cant believe what i just heard. I say to my self "Did i just hear that? did he really say that out loud?"
Either they just dont care or they are to stupid to realize that they are not at all being clever. Allot of this probably ties in to some deep psychological shit about social structures and the exertion of power among friends on some subconscious level but its still weirding me out.
Another thing i experience allot is when a "friend" of mine gets in to a conversation and tries to "sell" me an idea or something. Normally i dont argue since the ideas are just so stupid and i dont feel like trashing them. They continue to push their idea and when they notice i dont oppose and just sit and nod they get more courageous and spew even more bullshit my way. Most of the time they are talking about something they do and why it is so great. Like they are trying to sway my opinion of them. Sure most people like to talk about themselves and things they are passionate about but why the constant battling for validation? Why are you trying to sell it to me?
I feel i can literally see the though pattern of some people. See where they are going and what they hope to accomplish. It annoys me when someone tries to mask something with obscure ambiguous references when they clearly lack the cognitive abilities to pull it off.
The few people i can really call friends share a common trait. They are all straight talkers. They say what they want when they want it and that i respect. I wish i could write this is in my native tongue as i have a much better vocabulary in swedish but i hope some of you might know what I'm getting at.
Sometimes i sit and reflect on conversations i have had during the day and the responses i have received. I'm trying to figure out my own though pattern in correlation to others. Maybe i myself say things that can be misinterpreted and misunderstood?

i understand where you're coming from, i've often thought about these things and it occured to me that at the root of all actions is our survival instinct. anything we say or do is linked to our need to survive, whether that means trying to make one's self look better than another person by saying nasty things about them or trying to convince you of a certain idea or whatever. conversations like the kind you're talking about are a bit easier to understand when i consider that the survival instinct trickles down into even the most minute of interactions. it's all about survival, not only of the body but of the mind as well.

Maybe you can seek other people. We will always find beings who have similarities.

See I just sold you that idea. You can make whatever you want out of what people say.

"For example: some people try and sneak in negative references about me or someone else that is sitting right in front of them during a conversation, and assume that me or whoever wont catch it"
I notice this all the time man.. Althought I cannot say for sure what is the cause of it. Many times people are so ingrained to their way of life they do not even think and just blurt out shit not even thinking people would take offense.. how repulsive, but it does not bother me... you are right about the social structure thing... me personally could care less if you 'ownz0r me'(as they say in OTD)...... I hate people who power play and try to submit their dominence by means other then pysical force, and at times it is almost as bad/and or as annoying.

I think people rise to the level of their own intelligence. If someone is not that bright, he/she will think that others are at the same level, and they don't realize that their antics can be seen through.
