Why I Store Petris at Room Temp

So I was getting ready to clone a nice big 4th flush mushroom tonight and saw this when I was getting a receiving dish out:

There's lots of opinions on the boards as to how people should store their dishes after pouring. My personal opinion is that I don't care, as long as what you do works for you. What I do is pour them a little thick, store them upside down (so they're easier to remove) in the sleeve they came in, put a clip on the bag, and leave them at room temp.
The last batch I poured I faintly remember tapping the top of the SAB with the media bottle at some point. That was something like 6 months ago so I'm a little fuzzy. The point is, if this dish was used right away or stored in the fridge, I might've transferred that ugly bastard to more dishes without knowing. But because I stored the dish at room temp, the contam had optimal growing conditions and the dish provided a self-contained control. Because of this I've saved myself additional future headaches and was able to make a clone of Bertha here using a different dish.

So, if you're new to pouring or simply rethinking things, keep this post in mind. It might save you some frustration.

Yeah I definitely prefer to store at room temp. I think the fridge creates to much condensation also.

@LREAM: Mine have easily gone 6+ months with no degradation.

I once used a slant that was at least 8-10 years old. It worked fine.
As long as you have them wrapped and don't let your media dry out you're fine.
