First time seeing this mushroom.

Northwest Ohio.  April 7th.  Early morning thunder/lightning storm.  70-75 degrees.  Growing in red mulch I put down late last summer.

Hmmm that is a possibility.  The stem seems to be a bit thicker.  I was kinda surprised to see it.  I’ve never had mushrooms grow in this spot.  Mostly in my grass.  This was in the mulch.  I wonder if there were spores in the mulch?  Mulch was from Menard’s.
