Hey all! I’ve been a long time reader of this site and only finally decided to make account. I’ve grown mushrooms for over 5 years both medicinal and edible..RR taught me so much when I first started. Anyways just wanted to become a part of the community. Currently i grow and sell to chefs as a side job, never found a more satisfying hobby..

Can you speak on the Portobello Mafia that Paul Stamets would not elaborate on? Do you have to give them kickbacks so that there isn’t any “trouble” with your business selling to chefs?

Can’t really provide any info on port mafia..and no there is no kickbacks..I’m a chef and know other chefs..I generally just make a few calls and let them know what I have almost ready and they place order..I could be much more organized and profitable, but I’m still learning..

Also I’m kinda overwhelmed about posting, commenting, and etc..any advice would be greatly appreciated..I’m a 46 year old dinosaur!!

Well well well, if it isn't the devil himself! Just turned 55yo here, I know what you mean. This is the only "forum" I ever posted in frequently besides a nursing forum that is set up the same way. Ignore the trollers and anyone who tries to get your hackles up and you'll be fine. This place has taught me priceless info and I've made a few friends here as well. I even met some of them in real life, hopefully I'll meet more. Welcome home!
