Hi, i am new to hunting for mushrooms. I've mostly been identifying as a hobby, but i think i may have found some Panaeolus cinctulus in my parents yard today.

The mushroom caps which still cover their prints gave a rust brown print and I believe are Panaeolus foenisecii

In the above photo, only the mushroom on the left with the stem still attached gave me a black spore print (the 3 to the right with the stem still attached, and the one on the far left with the stem removed already game me more of a dark rust brown print).

In this photo all of the mushrooms gave me a black spore print.
Habitat: Lawn after a few days of rain
Gills: a slight range in color from dark brown to nearly black
Stem: a golden brown color which gets darker towards the base
Cap: a brown cap with a darker brown ring around the outside of the cap
Spore print color: black
Bruising: No obvious color change that I noticed
Location: Coastal Southern California - Ventura County

Amazing! Thanks for your help.
My parents back yard has them both intermixed, although it was mostly p. foenisecii. But in my parents front yard (which has a different type of grass) i only found p. cinctulus.

yes, Panaeolus cinctulus
edit: If they were found in grass, you should dry a couple specimens and send'em to Alan Rockefeller, he has been studying the grass Panaeolus cinctulus, comparing them to the dung loving cincts.
