Monotub, directly to fruting conditions vs tape all holes?

I have read many threads about this but most threads are old. So I wonder if there is new information and what is considered best now, 2020? Tape all holes (to keep high Co2), or put polyfill in all holes and go directly to fruting conditions?
I have seen threads where people have compared monotubes side by side and then colonization seems to happen faster when put the monotube directly in fruiting conditions.
What do you say?

Directly to fruiting conditions and if you wanna jump into the future farther, use 3M Micropore 1530-3 Tape over your holes instead of polyfill. It's perfect for colonization and fruiting. Mix ur tub, put that tape on the holes, set the tub under your 12/12 lights, and forget about it till it starts fruiting.

Really? Interesting .. I remember reading some post before about micropore tape vs polyfill but I think it seemed like many preferred polyfill, at least at that time. Have you tested both and found that micropore tape is better than polyfill?
If so, how many layers of tape should you put over the hole?

It's not that it works better it's just easier. They both work the same I used to use polyfill a long time ago but I hated it. I just use one layer of tape over all the holes. You don't have to colonize a tub first and then "birth" it to fruiting conditions that's the old ways.

Ah I see. Thanks for the tip bro. I'll try it on the next one then.

Fruiting conditions at spawn and it’s quicker. Mushrooms fruit themselves.

I do something like a mix of this and taping. I put micropore tape on the outside, 2 layers just to be sure it's good (probably unnecessary) and then I put masking tape over the holes on the inside. Once the sub is conolonized, I peel off the masking tape (which is easy to do since it's been moist since I put the tub together basically) and leave the micropore tape on. Could probably skip the masking tape though, and just leave the tubs alone for 10+ days and open them to find fruits apparently :P

It's all really a preference. I used to put duck tape over the holes and remove it when they were colonized and stuff with polyfill. All these different ways never made anything different imo. BOD comes walking up with no holes, no tape, throws stuff in a tub, makes killer flushes, and drops the mic lmao
