Have you ever felt guilty for no reason ?
Sometimes I feel pretty guilty. The only thing that makes me feel better is doing nice things for other people or doing nice things for myself. I like to give people happy surprises. Like shoveling their snow or whatever. I like it when they don't know who did it. I'm mostly just soory. Do you know what I mean ?
When the time comes again I would like to think of nice things to do.

edit: i didn't really read your post thoroughly enough, but i don't ever feel guilty for no reason...but when i do, i try to make up for it by doing better....if that's what you mean.

I used to feel guilty all the time. Still battle with it. But I've noticed soms mental trends I get into that encourage that feeling.
Part of dealing with it is doing good things. But the best things I do is for myself. With the former I notice I get into a bad loop where I don't feel like I'm doing enough. So I try harder until I'm pouring my heart out but still don't see the results I want.
All of us live in our own little bubbles and our ability to effect other bubbles is limited. These days I try to focus more on making my little bubble nice.
I'm probably a much less nice person to be around but I'm not constantly fighting anxiety and guilt anymore.
Another thing... I realize alot of my "no reason" guilt actually ties back to my childhood and people thinking guilt tripping me would have been positive for me. As it turns out feeling guilty about everything can encourage you to do some really bad things because you're wrong and horrible no matter what you do.
It's really not healthy to hold on to guilt.
I hope you figure out why you are and can let it go

Thanks man.
wonder what some of the nice things we could do are. I like to share my chcolate. : )
@ cookies
I think it has to do with pressure. Kind of just like
cant be, what they want me to be, because they dont know, that I already am what they were seeking.
I'm just out there to try and do well. I love everybody. It's kind of hard to communicate, without it sounding super fucking weird. It doesn't really matter. I feel bad about some of this, shit posting but it was kind of just out of frustration, of going misunderstood. It doesn't really matter though.

No matter how much people try not to admit it, the emotional rollercoaster of being human is addicting. I mean there are so many ways to look at guilt as you described. That's self motivation. We understand why we do things even if we don't acknowledge it, even if it feels different at the time. I think we all strive to be the best we can be on our own terms and when we aren't putting in the right efforts or have too high of expectations it can manifest as a cycle of breaking down and building back up. It breeds a sense of accomplishment, I'd suggest finding the true source of guilt and finding a way to overcome it with things that will make you proud to be yourself. Like I get pretty depressed sometimes, but honestly I can use that experience to talk to people about a lot of things. I can say that you can learn a lot about a guy when he says he likes to do nice things without people knowing it, as long as it's not intrusive it's in the real spirit of kindness. Altruism is its own reward. Perspective is a beautiful thing.

Thank you. I dont think it's a bad thing. It's not a serious thing.
I'm happy that you know what I mean.
Maybe feeling it, it's a good thing.

No such thing as reasonless guilt. There’s a cause behind it. Take a look see.

Guilt sucks aSS.
And there no necessary true cause behind it, guilt is the most primordial of human feelings and even saints feel it
Personally i hate it.

Yes I feel guilt pretty often actually, sometimes it seems out of nowhere but there's always a reason. Maybe it's just something that reminds me of something -- something I did in the past that I have guilt over. Bad things I did when I was younger. Not keeping in touch with certain people (like family). The way I acted towards someone. Stuff like that.
