Having trouble since moving into sealed room

I was recently gifted a new workspace. My buddys old grow room. This is the first time I ever had to use artificial light and control temp to such a high degree. I've had tons of success of just using a spare bedroom with a window.
Well my first round was a failure for the most part. Im using a T5 set at 12/12 about 6 feet over the bins. All the fruits were so small. The caps all opened at about inch tall. Terrible yeild. My buddy also turned the air off by mistake right before fruit and the tubs all were hitting high 80's for who knows how long.
So also add into the equation I used MS. Theres too many variables for me to narrow down what exactly went wrong or if it was just a perfect storm. Any ideas folks?

Could be genetic too.
Pictures would help.
I’ve never had to rely on lights either, I’m doing exactly what you said with the spare room with a window. It’s amazing how little sunlight will work.

That's really bizarre, interested in hearing what others have to say. My guess would be heat is #1 issue and fae is #2.
Did it contam after first flush?

Probably just the things you think it could be, high 80s temp, if the air was off completely that's not too ideal (where does fresh air come from), double check the lights are 6500k, then there's the ms.
Get on some clones. If you are in need of a clean print me, only cause you like electric wizard.
Don't be too discouraged man. None of those things are hard to fix, and you can blame it all on your friend in the meantime .

some did. The others made it to a "2nd flush" but it was hardly worth all the work I put in. Those little mother fuckers are potent as fuck though. Were talking cubes by the way.

Do you think the distance of the lights to the substrate make a difference? We have a filtered air intake setup. I was using some fans, but this next round were going to use the filtered air system. It is an operational cannabis grow room. We bleached the room as best as possible before hand. Going to do a smaller test round this week. Want to change enough variables to observe before I put my next round of bulk spawn into fruit.
Was considering switching from monos to a few small grow tents (martha setup). Anyone with any advice how to utilize the 20x20 space?

I would make sure he doesn't have some type of passive air system because like safer a 8 by 10 room for growing plants you normally want about 230 cfm of air exchange!
I know there's at least one mushroom that likes it that people actually use for CO2 enhancement during blooming but I don't think it's a cube! Or any other active type of mushroom!

idk man, any speculation is just speculation. Pics help. Stay with monos and shelves. This is how I do lights. I do ceiling lights too but for more penetration..

Can find sets of 6 or 8 lights on Amazon, with a few 5 foot connector cabels will make sure you have great coverage in a whole room.

Are you using a 6500k led or flores tube?
I was using 6500k leds last week for the first time. Those tubs also grew short as fuck and potent. Never seen anything like it.
I contributed to sub moisture content because 2 of 5 were damp af. [Trying to dial in unmod tubs this room has been a journey.] But 3 others that were seemingly sub moisture perfect grew similar fruits.
Could very well be moisture or genetics but i switched to a 3 barrell 65w 6500k CFL and a tub on that grew 5-6" fruits. Same Lc.
No sunlight in this room. Im going to put amother tub near a window tomorrow and see what happens.

Sounds like the room change could have just been a coincidence. If you're contaminating after first flush that's 99% of the time because of contaminated spawn.
There is no way lighting had that large of an impact, ambient light is what most people use, and people have used dark closets just fine. They're fungus, not plants.
Only other thing that could have fucked you that hard is those high temps. Near 90 is rough and could account for stunted growth but the only thing that contaminates coir tubs, as far as I know, is dirty spawn.
