How is my grow looking? When to harvest? Next steps?

As I have recently learned from reading this forum, it turns out I did a poor job of this tek, but it is my first time so be gentle.

My tek: Followed Evilmushroom666's BRF tek to make 8 cakes in 1/2 pint jars. Once they started showing pins/I made the judgment call they were ready, I birthed/rinsed them off and shredded them into chunks (see picture) I then combined the chunks with coco-coir and water and dumped them into a shoebox with knife stabs through the lid. The lid is snapped on, though kind of loose. Humidity is forming inside. There is also another tub with the same amount of spawn but some more coir thrown on top.
I think it's going well, but I'd love some input.
Definitely a janky mess but at least I'm getting fruits.
My questions to you lovely people are: 1) Anything I should have done differently? 2) Anything I should do now? 2) When should I harvest these fruits? 3) How's it looking?

Well you’re getting shrooms so that’s awesome.
You should’ve broken the cakes down as much as possible. Some people put them in a ziplock and crush them with a spoon or something. I’ve seen people get real quick colonization with the cakes basically powdered.
Then mix it evenly with the coir and level the surface.
Also no need for holes in the lid, shoeboxes get enough air and you can flip the lid upside down for more if you want.
Did you hydrate the coir before you mixed it with the cakes?? It kinda sounds like you mixed dry coir and cake chunks together then got it wet.

I did, should've clarified. I had a brick of dried coir, I got it wet to turn it into actual coir then dumped in the chunks and mixed by hand.

I just noticed those are chunks of cake, I thought the surface was just uneven.
The purpose of the coir is to have the myc grow through it until it’s one big piece.
So when you shred the cakes into it each little particle will start spreading and linking up with other ones until they’re all connected. Then they form shrooms.
Putting chunks on top like that is basically the same as fruiting a whole cake in a humidity chamber.

I think they're mixed in, they're just big chunks.
You're probably going to end up without flushes. Just picking a few every day.
