dryer vents are Ace. Is there currently a dryer using it? you can put in a T with a check valve so that no fruiting room air will creep into the dryer.

Yeah there’s a dryer using it, could you link to a valve you’re talking about?

I already sent you a link in my 1st post. But this one would work better for this application...
https://www.amazon.com/Blocker-Backdraft-Extractor-Draught-Shutter/dp/B084BP47PT/ref=sr_1_15?dchild=1&keywords=4+inch+damper&qid=1586626570&sr=8-15
Make sure not to get it to close to the dryer so it does not melt it or get a metal one.

That is a low powered fan so if it was me I would not use a flex pipe I would use 4 inch PVC or something that is smooth on the inside or you will greatly reduce the output of the fan. I installed ductwork for the union so trust me you want a smooth pipe for low output fan. You will probably need to reduce the ID of the PVC to fit the backdraft. If so cut a couple of inches of the 4 inch PVC then cut it longways and push it in the pipe.

I forgot to send you this...
4" Yee
https://www.amazon.com/POWERTEC-70106-4-Inch-Y-Fitting-Connector/dp/B005VRJIW8/ref=sr_1_25?dchild=1&keywords=4+inch+tee&qid=1586628213&sr=8-25
If you install this properly there is no need for the backdraft. But it is a good safety precaution.
The way the Yee is angled it prevents backdraft.

Cooked off some more grains, this time in a bag. Have about 5 lbs in there. Also my blue oyster is looking healthy! Probably going to transfer it to the bag soon.

I would only use half the jar just in case you have a problem you will have another chance. 1/2 of a jar is more than enough anyway. I use spoodle to spawn my sub bags. It makes the process way easier. one 4 oz scoop per 6 lb bag. Place the spoodle in a spawn bag and PC for 15 mins at 15 psi.
5 to 6 lb bags 4 oz spoodle with no holes...

10 to 12 lb bag 8 oz spoodle with no holes...

Nice I'll probably use half the jar for this bag to see what it does.
Also the blue oyster looking really good currently, king and pink are slow but I shook them last night and they seem to be recovering already:

So I bought this fan, I'm trying to make a laminar flow hood so I can do things more sterile.
Is this good enough to push air through a HEPA filter that is 2x2'?
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DWVHVJF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought this HEPA, if that fan isn't enough to push air through I'll use the other fan to push air from my chamber outside and get another fan.

You are ready to tranfer 1/2 the jar to the bag don't wait to long or the jar will be very hard to break up.
There is not enough info on the filter to decide what fan you need. But since it is 12" think I don't think that fan will be big enough. I bought a fan that has more power than is needed and I block the intake air. That way I can easily adjust the power of the fan as the filter gets clogged by opening up the intake air.
https://blog.freshcapmushrooms.com/learn/keeping-it-clean-how-to-design-and-build-a-laminar-flow-hood/
I have only built one flow hood and then I just bought 2 fan filter units from HGR. I got them for $70 each and they were brand new. They cost $1200 each when not bought from somewhere like HGR. I will send you a link.

lookin good. Is that auto-fill bucket for your humidifier or for the spore catcher?
what bulk substrate are you going to use? and what kind of temps are you looking at now?

The auto fill is for the humidifier, still have to check temps, I plan on using these for spawn:

I also found some whole oats for $10 for 50 lbs so I will be using that instead of bird seed from now on to spawn.

Here's the auto fill bucket in action:

I may convert this room in my garage into a fruiting chamber this summer, I think it’s laid out pretty well for it, just have to figure out drainage.

How long ago did you inoculate that?
It looks like it is fruiting. And your grains look too wet.

Lol I inoculated it last week or so and the grains didn’t look that wet until recently, not sure what’s going on here haha
