So, long story short, as a kid I lived in a house with negative energy and spirits that my dumbass sisters invited in. One of the main things I used to see was these little black masses, about the size of a bowling ball shoot across my bedroom floor. My sisters also saw things things. Well lately my kid has not been sleeping well, not scared or anything, just shitty sleep. Saturday not I saw one of those balls shoot towards his room. I went in there and told it to eat shit and if it wants to grow some balls, to fuck with me and not my kid. We have a pretty positive house, so my assumption is maybe just all the bad energy everywhere right now it’s bleeding through. I’ve read sage is a good way to help cleanse, but are they other ways?

I would just call one of my spirits to banish them.
Do you believe in God? Try to ask/talk to God.
Sometimes even saying out loud spirit name properly can bring it
or other spirits forth.

If you didn’t believe in bad energy..... this would not be a problem.
Although, I do understand that you may have your reasons.
Just saying, it’s worked for me so far.

Smudge with sage (throughout the whole house, and also smudge each person living in the house) whilst setting the intention that all negative energy be gone from the space. It's best to say it out loud. You need to let the smoke get into every area of the house, even the closets etc. Open all the windows and let the smoke out. Then put some salt in small containers in the corners of the house. This can be changed every few months, but make sure you throw it away at the end and don't try and use it for anything...Someone I know took a bath with the salt they used for this purpose and got really, really sick.
It's true that negative energy can ultimately only influence us if we allow it to, but it's not much of a choice when you are a kid. Even as an adult, most of the time we cannot control our subconscious and unconscious beliefs consciously. These things feed on fear, and kids are easy to scare, and they are also much more sensitive to unseen energies than adults. Having said all of that, best defence against this stuff really is to not believe it can harm you or your child, if you are able.
Having sacred images etc around can help too, as can burning incense regularly (sage/frankincense/palo santo), and lighting candles. Certain crystals can also help. Ultimately every 'defense' we can take against negative energy is reinforcing the mental intention that we are protected, but as I said, most of us do not believe that on a deep enough level that we are safe, so we have to use these implements and tools to reinforce the idea of protection in our minds.

in addition to the other methods mentioned, you could also research how to work with the violet flame, which is an etheric energy that clears and transmutes negativity. it can be called upon through simply asking / decreeing it with a visualization of violet fire clearing the home. you can also call on angels or ascended masters to assist with this if you resonate with that. St. Germain is one ascended master very connected with the violet flame, and Archangel Michael is the archangel most associated with protection from negativity. wishing you well with this
