That's an understatement.
-------------------- I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them. I also attack my side if I think they're wrong. People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

First cases were reported at the end of last year, so...that fits the timeline pretty well. I think it was finally confirmed to be a coronavirus in the last week of December.
Of course, we proceeded to do fuck all about it for 2.5 months afterwards.

Is it worth noting that China just lost 350 million pigs to African Swine Flu late last year?
And how come nobody is angry about the name African Swine Flu?

China owns Smithfield Foods, and by extension, something like 80% of the pigs in the US.
African Swine Flu is one of the few diseases that is accurately named, as it was traced back to Kenya. It's not well named, but considering the time period of the discovery (1920s) it's something I'm more willing to let slide.
Hell, even Spanish Flu started on a farm in Kansas.

Trump is unable to not be corrupt
NYT reports Trump himself has a financial stake in the French company that makes the brand-name version of hydroxychloroquine.

So good koodsly. THE NYT reports. That is all we need to know. But you will need cholrolquine, and you have an underlying condition, so you will die of Corona Virus.
You have the underlying condition, TDS Butt-hurt syndrome will cause your death.

No surprises there.
A couple other places were reporting it earlier, they paid him a couple million back in 2018 for a meeting.

I just read trump invested in the drug maker Sanofi through the mutual fund Dodge and Cox. I had shares in Dodge and Cox in the past, in their mainly domestic fund. Trump is in Dodge and Cox International and Sanofi is their largest holding. All the reports are saying Trump's financial interest is small, but it still will be a fun fact for the election season.

I don't think it's gonna matter, to be honest. Matter of fact, I have serious doubts that the election will take place as we expect it to.
As I argued earlier, in this thread or another one, I fully believe that elections will be cancelled at the state level in some cases, with those states voting for trumpy. If I had to pick states, I'm guessing Florida and Wisconsin would be the two most likely to cancel elections, with Georgia a close third.
States that can't pull off cancelling the elections will continue with voter suppression as best as they can, as evidenced by Wisconsin today.
Trump will win with a vote count in the low 40% range.

I'm sorta following what you said and sorta not. I need further explanation on state's cancelling and Trump winning with a vote count in the low 40%'s. I know they're both theoretically possible but I don't think plausible.

As I argued earlier, and while Enlil has doubted my interpretation, he has not adequately explained why my interpretation is incorrect:
There is no federal law that says presidents must be elected by popular vote at the state level, only that states need to send in their elector counts. How the states decide who their electors vote for is up to the states. Now, in modern history, states have held elections based on a popular vote. Some states have laws on the books or state constitutions that require popular votes, but not all.
Right now, some 26 states with a combined total of 219 electoral votes have either republican legislature/governors, or republican supermajorities in the legislature. This means that those states can (a) change laws requiring a popular vote and (b) pass laws that simply assign their state electors to trumpy along party lines.
So while the federal election is not being affected, technically, certain states simply...decide to not hold votes, and to put their electors on Trump.
Next, given the EC, a presidential candidate can win with something like a minimum of 43% of the countrywide vote. Of course if we were to assume absolute extremes, such as literally zero Trump voters in Cali, that could be more extreme, but the 43% is assuming reasonable margins.
The current EC alone can basically let trumpy have the presidency with low 40% of the vote, and add in the possibility of cancelling elections at the state level, and there are technically ways that he could win with even less than 40% of the vote.
Of course, Cancelling elections at the state level would really only fly in solid red states without public outcry, but then again, who cares about public outcry? This is a chance to install a president for life, and presidents for life don't have to deal with little things like unhappy people. They have the military for that.

States could decide to appoint electors if they wished.
Actually a president could be elected with less than 30% of the vote

My fiance hates guns. They scare her. I convinced her that we should get one for the duration of the corona crisis and that we could always sell it if we don't feel like we need/want it anymore. She resisted but eventually caved. Now she thinks we should keep it either way.

According to a report on patient characteristics from Italy’s National Institute of Health released on March 17, 99% of COVID-19 patients who have died in the country had at least one preexisting condition.
Different preexisting conditions – including heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, and kidney disease – were found at varying rates among the patients who have died

Remember that "overweight" is a pre-existing condition that affects roughly 70% of the US population.
