What do you guys think of this rye??

soaked for 16 hours in room temp water — feel like it should’ve been a bit warmer as I was concerned they didn’t hydrate properly. Put it on a roaring boil for little over ten min (mistake) and then dried them out for roughly 1-1.5 hours, passed to TP test. Pressure cooked 15psi for 1 hour 45 min.

Concerned because there was a decent amount of bursted rye I noticed and picked out when drying. Still some in there... they look decent (I know dry is good) but I can’t tell if too dry because they’re not properly hydrated and am sorta concerned about some of the burst Kernals

This is 12 hours post PC, and I shook them to distribute moister. Planned on innoculating via MS In a few hours. What do you guys think?

They look berry good!! 24hr room temp soak is good doesn't need to be warm.
10 min simmer is all that's needed and only a 90min pressure cook @15psi.

Your good to go though, good luck!!

Thanks for the input

The bursted rye I picked out felt starchy, but these jars aren’t really clumping at all and the rye moves freely... the berries just felt kind of harder than i would’ve liked, and didn’t quite “pop like a pimple” easily when I squeezed them. I’m just hoping there’s enough moister in the berries, Only time will tell.

I haven’t checked vendor pricing but you’ll still have shipping. You can get a 50lb bag from southern states or tractor supply for like $12-15 usually.
