That’s how you want them for storage... 0 moisture left.

Cracker dry, perfect! Any moisture and they'll rot and mold in a bag or jar

You want them cracker dry; if they're all as crispy as the one described you're in good shape. Throw them in a sealed jar with desiccant to keep them dry and they should keep their potency.

dehumidifier or dehydrator?? there is a huge difference there. if you didnt use a dehydrator to get them cracker dry. then i can almost assure u that they are not totally dry and will most likely mold if you store them. you need to use a dehydrator or make sure they are 100% cracker dry before storage

Suspect you mean a dehydrator. You can't get them too dry without a blow torch, lol. No need to rehydrate. Just store in a cool dry place until use.

You are probably accustomed to buying bags of poorly dried spongy and assuming that's normal. You want them to convert to powder with anymore than a gentle touch.
