BOD's monotub grains exposed?
    #26579050 - 04/05/20 09:26 AM (3 years, 9 months ago)

When bodhisatta does his tubs, he leaves his his grains exposed, doesn't add any top layer or anything? How does this work compared to what others on here say about having exposed grains leaves you open to contamination?

It’s fine man the main reason for a top layer is it keeps surface conditions better.

If you’re worried you can still add one anytime in the next week.

I did sprinkle and add a light top layer when spawning, but it looks like I missed some grains. I don't have anymore bulk substrate left over right now, and I don't want to have to whip up some more just for that reason. That's why I was seeing how concerned I should be, because if I really need to be concerned about it and do it then I will, but it sounds like exposed grains is okay.
