Habitat: Where does it grow? Eg. woods, pasture, state, province, country, altitude, etc. What does it grow on? Eg. soil, dung, wood (dead, living, what kind of wood?), etc.
Growing in a wood chip bed in a public setting Seattle Washington.
Gills: Color, attached/not, gills/pores, etc.
Gills are attached and yellow turning orange in places.
Stem: Length, diameter, color, texture, hollow/solid, thin/thick, etc.
Stem about 3inches and yellow/orange. Fairly thick and dense.
Cap: Diameter, color, texture, conical/spherical, convex/concave, etc.
Cap is 2 inches across and umbonate as it matures. Color is yellow to orange near the center. No noticable pellicle or scales and looks fibrous to me. Cap margin is inrolled.
Spore print color: Very important!
Spore print appears rusty brown.
Bruising: Color that the mushroom bruises, if any.
Only noticeable color changes were at the base of the stipe where it turned yellow/tan when picked then browner as time passed.
Other information: Scent of the mushroom, anything else you think is important, large close-up pictures showing stem, cap and gills.
Didnt notice anything crazy on the smell but it's also the area I'm least knowledgeable in. Smelled just like earthy mushroom.

That was really my only guess. First time handling gymnopilus and I know differentiating between species can be extremely difficult but thought I'd give it a shot on here. Thanks for your insight!
