A newbie hunting question

Hey guys, first off i'd like to say all of you really know your stuff. I just started my mushroom experience about a month ago and now I want to start going out and finding my own.
So anyways, to my question...I know in alabama (the montgomery/auburn area) the most successful hunting you can do is in pastures. Since I am quite new to this I wanted to know if there are any shrooms that grow in the forest in this area of the United States. Thx a bunch

If you're looking for "magic mushrooms" stick to cow fields and tyhe surroundign forests they hang out in for shade.
If you're just going hunting for kicks or edible shrooms, get yourself a good mushroom guide with loads of photos and walk in a tight zig-zag formation through the trees and forest.
Good luck! A welcome... from one newbie to another!
