Found this little box turtle eating Russula crustosa.

Dude, a few years back I was hunting mushrooms, and I walked upon a box turtle. Normally they get sacred and go up in their shell at my presence. However, this turtle just kept on walking, like I wasn't there, right up to a big old green nasty looking russula, and he took a big old bite out of it, paused for a moment, and then continued on his way. True story man, and I have never seen anything so awesome in my life!

Harvestmen

A Blue Dirt Dauber

I Have No Idea What This Guy Is (Edit: Mayfly)

& This One Is From Today (Back Down South), Some Kind Of Moth Or Something, Idk. (Edit: Giant Leopard Moth)

I Found The Brown Recluse When I Went To Take A Shower, Up There You Shake Everything Before Using It, So I Shook The Shower Curtain & Sure Enough He Fell Down & Started Trying To Crawl Up The Shower Wall So I Caught Him In A Cup.

Sorry About Some Of The Pics Being Blurry, I Had Trouble Uploading Them.

Dude, I love insects, and arachnids to death!!! Check out this find that I found for a quarter at a thrift store! I especially love spiders, and I used to keep black widow females in big old mason jars! Keep the insects, and arachnids coming!

And this huge guy that I found today. Despite the fact that we finally got rain after a full month of drought and horribly hot and humid conditions, there are no mushrooms to be found in my town. All the woods are pretty much bare of all fungus, and I don't understand what's going on!

Killin it Allium! Hell yeah!

I havnt seen much of anything lately other than a metric fuck ton of baby toads and the same black rat I see in the same tree every time I go to the park. I'm spending the weekend stocking up on chants though so hopefully I see something.

I never expected this thread to become this!!! You've all far exceeded my expectations and I very greatly appreciate everyone that's sharing their finds  :youthemandawg:

 I posted one of those baby toads a page or so back. There were hundreds of them when I found that one.

I actually did find a few pounds of Chants though, a few days back, only to find out that I have totally lost the the taste for them, so as sad as I am to tell you this, after one meal of them, I tossed all the rest in my compost pile. I haven't found any in a couple of years, and right now, there are tons out. Too bad my Morel season couldn't have been this good :smirk:

This thread is Epic, my most favorite thread to post in on the whole forum, so you have done a good job good sir

Well, no mushrooms today, and boy I searched! I'll probably just have to give up hunting mushrooms here, sadly.

Well, I did find one lone bolete that had the whole forest to himslef, but that doesn't count :smirk:

However, I did have a great day of fishing, and I found this guy

Fish #1

Fish #2

Fish #3

And this guy loaded down with pollen!

Oh,and I keep seeing all these really big strange weeds growing all over the place too!

More to come....

Yeah, I've been finding them around all of the areas that I hunt mushrooms and fish in. They don't seem to be native to the area

A Tiny Wolf Spider/Grass Spider On Top Of What I Believe To Be Panaeolus Cinctulus

He's Camera Shy

Another Small Wolf Spider Chilling On Some Decaying Oysters

Edit: On Second Thought That Might Be Panaeolus Antillarum, However The Ones Like It That I've Been Seeing Have The "Twisted Stipes", Either Way I Just Leave Em Be.
