Those aren't mohawks, they're a highly evolved defense mechanism.  Unfortunately, these "mohawks" present a slight drawback when it comes to really good bugsex.  Then again, that's just all part of the fun.

Ok so I'm really curious about what people think of this pic I took yesterday after finding my first Chanterelle. I personally love it (duh) but I can see how others may not.

It's almost stunning to me how well it mimics my typical CEV on Cyans. Am I going mad? :smirk:
