sure doesn't look like cube mycelium on the cap surface, will be easy to find out with a little agar.

It looks very much like spider web deep between the gills, it reminds me of spider mites. I have the specimen and will see what happens on agar, it very well could be like Bodhisatta said, I listen to him closely when he says something like that, he definitely has proven himself knowledgeable about species.

Cube mycelium has many different morphologies. I had some caps with lots of fuzz. I looked at them under the scope and found clamp connection in the cap fuzz and cube spores too. So just a theory
This is wild though not grown in a tub indoors. But just offering a possibility

I'm new to this forum and have never yet tried shrooms, though I have a lot of experience with other psychedelics. I'm hoping I hit the jackpot here. Can someone tell me what I have here? The spore print looks black.

As the title states, this is a data collection thread for wild Psilocybe cubensis only! you can start an id report with your own thread, go back to the main mushroom hunting and identification page, look on the right side and you will see "post" click on that to start your ty thread.
With all that said, you have a Coprinellus species, not Psychoactive if that's what you want to know.

Before I enter my data it must be said that this entry is not typical, nor what I intend for this thread, but the past 2 weeks have not been typical in the least. This entry will be a broad coverage of my observations made between 13 Mar to 31 Mar 2020.
Date: 13-31 March 2020
Time found: All observations were made in morning hours. (morning, afternoon, evening, night.)
Temperature: temperature has ranged between 74°f & 90°f with an estimated average of 85°f during the day, temperatures have increased to an average of 90°f between 26 Mar through 31 Mar 2020 (If temperature is at freezing or below, how many days have temperatures been at or below freezing?)
are temperatures at or above 95°f? No (if yes, for how many days or weeks?)
General location: Beulah, Florida, USA (do not post exact location, nearest town or city)
# of days since last rain: No rain between 13 Mar through 30 Mar. (If recently rained, how many successive days did it rain?):
fog or dew present: Yes, dew. ( yes or no):
Humidity: humidity levels have been steady between 60-80% between day and night, with higher humidity levels at night. Relative humidity is fine but if possible please use a soil hygrometer with a thermometer to measure water content and substrate temperature. ( Provide as much information as possible)
Substrate: all finds are in Horse Manure or compost containing horse manure. even the ones pictured with oak leaves are growing in compost. (Cow manure, Horse manure, compost or soil.)
Area found: observations have been in open pasture or medium to tall grass that is not tightly compacted grass but allows airflow and sunlight to reach the ground. (Tall grass, open pasture, Short grass, under tree(s) , leaf litter, soil, directly from manure, etc.)
include pictures with data collection sheet.
other: I must point out that there has been absolutely no rain during the time period of the above observations, this proves that Psilocybe cubensis will fruit without rain. (include any other information that you think may be pertinent to the growth of this particular species.)
Edit: When I mentioned above about growth without rain, this comment is not directed towards the compost mushrooms as much as pasture mushrooms because a large compost pile will retain moisture in greater quantities and longer periods of time than the pasture mushrooms substrate. Observations of Psilocybe cubensis in pastures were made all the way up the 31st of March and only a small amount of rain had fallen on 12 Mar (16th of an inch), check my post before this one to see when the last rain fall took place prior to 12 Mar.

@Cowboycaps thank you for adding the grass species, it seems like I'm seeing a pattern in certain grasses, Bermuda and Bahia seem to the best areas. but I can't prove it, yet! Grasses that do not allow light to reach the ground seem to be the worst and I find that odd because mushrooms do not use light for food .
