Had an increase profound experience this two days ago, I saw the northern lights for the first time shortly after finishing up my fishing for the day. Guess the spirits of the lake returned my offering, may not have caught any fish but I had an experience I've been waiting years to have. I could feel the cosmos dancing before my eyes as white, blue, green and teal tendrils danced through the night sky, I felt at peace with everything my shit situation has thrown at me and knew my decision to move north was the right thing to do next step is to settle down north of 60Β° and enjoy nature's light show, if the weather clears up and we have another solar storm I might drop a few hundred mics or dose some shrooms and enjoy. Fled to my remote cottage to escape the madness of the city, covid and construction directly in front of my house. Sorry for any misspelling or shit writing, using my phone and have been drinking a bit cause I fucked my back drilling 8 holes through 5 feet of ice and then collecting birch bark on top of that and have nobody with me to reset my ribs.

For the record I rarely drink, but I was in pain and fucking cold because of a storm moving in and yeah, plan on fishing tomorrow if weather permits otherwise I brought my entire stash of psychs with me so if it's too brutal out I'll have to choose what to take still got my overdosed cid and roughly 5.5g 4-aco-dmt, and some designers that came as extras no scale though so can't play with my 5-meo-dmt despite being at the perfect location since the two neighbors present are good friends and the others good friends and old hippies who grow bud between our cottages and told us to help ourselves.

The northern lights are the most incredible thing I've experienced in my life, my wife wants to drive up north where she used to work so I can hear them, she swears that they ring in a C minor and since she worked there for a few years she has some friends we'll stay with who are also avid anglers and MΓ©tis so I'll be amongst my people and I'm sure they'll want to spend some time on the ice before we watch the lights or while we watch them could be amazing fishing under the aurora, they have such an amazing ethereal quality. Ribs will be set once my wife gets back, she had to head to the city for some meetings and to check out my plants and turn my compost while she was there, plus I'm running low on vape liquid so I had her aunt pick some up for me before the gov't mandated shutdown and she's bringing that back and I think some more homegrown tobacco that I give to plants and places as an offering. Fuck I feel like I've gone into a drunken rant.

they make noise? thatβs insane i had no idea. fishing underneath that would be surreal, i hope you get the chance to. what is the significance of the tobacco as an offering to plants?

Peak experiences are definitely a thing and seem to be an experience associated with self actualized people or moments of harmony with self and cosmos. Often experienced when completely absorbed in work you enjoy, but not to be mistaken for βflow.β Anything that makes us feel small can precipitate these experiences, but also little things, so mundane youβd never imagine it to be ecstasy. Healthy relationships, human touch (pre/post covid).
Trust in the Gods, Jahs and Allahs but tie down the camels.

The tobacco is just something I give to say plants, people or places as a sign of respect or while asking permission to harvest like the bark I was cutting from birch trees to make baskets essentially a gift for a gift which will serve me later in the year when it comes time to forage other foods or as creels for fishing. And yes they make sounds really looking forward to hearing that.

i really like the way you put this. those moments always come with a deep sense of comfort for me. itβs like everything makes sense for a little, or that itβs ok that nothing makes sense
ahh, i see. did you learn this practice from someone? or is it just something you decided to do. either way i like that idea

too funny, iβve been reading this book βthe cosmic serpentβ lately & the anthropologist who wrote it just mentioned that many indigenous cultures consider tobacco a food or gift to the spirits.

while the northern lights do not make any noise that human ears could perceive, as far as science is concerned, some people do say they hear a sort of sound when the lights are out, with some claiming they hear it even when they haven't even seen it yet - they say they know one is occurring by the sound, then can confirm it by checking outside.
some scientists speculate this is a form of synesthesia, where people see the northern lights and in doing so, also perceive a whispering sound, or a ringing noise, or the like. of course, this doesn't explain the people who seem to sense the northern lights before they show up - which means either these people are making it up, or i suspect there might be another possibility, they might be having synesthesia, but tied to the magnetic field sense. recent studies have shown that some people can, indeed, sense the earths magnetic field, so it would likely make sense that there would be some who would sense fluctuations in it from a strong solar storm , wouldn't there?
that's just my own guess though.
or maybe it's magic and science doesn't know jack shit. just gotta include that one for scientist rage-inducing purposes.
