The Shroom Society Project Updates

Good evening ladies and gentlemen!
So I just recently discovered the magic of mushrooms and I can say that I am now a avid follower of the church of terrence mckenna.
As i mentioned in my previous post, Psilocybin helped me out of a tough situation and I think that there should be more attention given towards its benefits.
In light of this, I am now working on a blog to raise awareness of the possible benefits of Psilocybin mushrooms.
A lot of people think that shrooms are just another way of getting high. I myself had thought that before as well. Don't get me wrong, these things are a great pick me up and I have fun with them too lol.
Ultimately, my goal is to change the common stigma people have regarding shrooms. By better educating people about its risks, benefits, and how to reduce harmful effects with responsible practices.
I am just starting out so there's still a lot I need to do.
Right now, I am just making an index with links to informational resources and psychedelic communities.
I will post updates on the project in this thread so stay tuned!
UPDATES
If anyone would like to collaborate or have any suggestions, please let me know!
Psychedelic Harm Reduction - Updated 2020.04.16 I am collecting links to educational resources regarding harm reduction of psychedelics on this page. If anyone finds a good read related to this subject, let me know.
Resources for Identifying Psilocybin Mushrooms - Updated 2020.05.07 Resources for foraging and identifying Psilocybin mushrooms can be found here.
Trip Reports - New Section To help psychedelic therapy gain attention and support, I will be posting peoples experiences in my blog. I will also post it under the psychedelic therapy category under medical news if the context allows.
If anyone would like to share their story, or know someone that might, please let me know.
As these experiences are very personal, I will require that everyone provide a pseudonym as apposed to your real name/username to protect everyone's identity.
Psychedelic Retreat Reviews - New Section As psychedelics are illegal in many countries, a lot of people are choosing to travel overseas to places where they can provide psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.
As these trips can be very expensive, I want to protect people looking for help from landing into dubious scams. Right now, I am just looking for reviews on youtube and sharing it on the blog.
I am open to any thoughts on this matter as I have never been to any of these retreats.
News - New Section I will be posting general news in this section.
Psychedelic Communities - New Section I will list every psychedelic community I find that has an online website in this section to attract more people to our communities.

You can start by not calling them 'shrooms'.

Yeah, call them “boomers” instead. 😊
It’s true tho, People get weird about words. Kinda like how we call weed “cannabis” now. Or how some people’s ears hurt if you say MOIST.
If you do want to try to make it more professional sounding, try not to use slang terms except when appropriate. I think, when writing articles discussing the effects, you could try to refer to the psilocybin itself rather than the mushroom. That could avoid the problem of others assuming you are just another druggie.
Also, people will freak out if you talk about McKenna too much. Even some people who like shrooms will physically gag and furrow their brow at just the mention of his name. Timothy Leary is another one to expect pushback on. Weird, I know, but that’s how it is.
Good luck and if this gets off the ground, definitely post back.

do what you gotta do, but McKenna, why do you need to throw in with that package?
you do not need to become a follower of anything - remember, you are discovering the world, and with some mushroom you have experienced the world differently...
see what it means for you without inserting McKenna into your amazing personal life. You are your project.

@redgreenvines, Shr00mEater
Yeah, I can see that happening. I didn't know that people didn't really like McKenna though. I don't really know much about the guy asides from a few random videos I've watched.
But yah, I'll try to keep it a bit more professional when writing blog posts. Might go off a bit every now and then to keep it fun though lol.
Thanks for the tip!

So this is how much I got done so far. It's still needs a lot of work but it's my baby.
I know it's pretty goofy and what not. You guys been telling me to be a bit more professional and I know I should but I'm just messing around with it right now and will change things around once I get more done.
If anyone has any story they would like to share or contribute somehow, let me know!

You’re putting some effort into this, dude, much respect. I’ve already checked out the website, and it’s really coming on. I’ll send you a ‘ some trip reports to use in your blog. Just preparing for first proper trip in over a month, this weekend, so I’ll get back to you in a few days

Just updated psilocybin mushroom id section. https://theshroomsociety.ca/resources-for-identifying-psilocybin-mushrooms/ Planning to add pictures for different strains as well as pictures and information about poisonous mushrooms later on.
If anyone has any good shots of psilocybin mushrooms in the wild, hook it up!
Pictures of poisonous mushrooms would be helpful as well!

Thanks! I really want to put more work into it but i suck at managing down time.
And also thanks for the contribution! When you got that trip report, let me know! I'll post it up in the trip reports section and will definitely remember to credit you in the article. If you have a blog I can link it back to yours as well.

To be honest, I'm trying to get involved in as many communities as I can. I can only work on this so much during my off time so I'm trying to get as many people involved as I can lol.
Some of the communities that I really hope to collaborate with is shroomery, dmt world, hip forums, and some reddit groups.
My end goal is to get some sort of non-profit charity going to help support groups like DPA and MAPS.
