I would wait. You can see uncolonized grains of corn on some of the corn ones, and the WBS doesn't look very colonized at all. You want solid white all over the grains. I'd keep them in a warmer place for another couple days, maybe another week. Have you shaken these at all? If you haven't, give them a light shake to help ensure that they'll be completely colonized before spawning.

Keep 'em high and tight guys....

Hi.... yes i shook the jars round about 30%... shook them again this morning as per your instruction.... i dont really have a warmer place in the house where i can keep them... they are in a closet with a blanket thrown over them.

Just a question... the mycellium is colonizing the grains and eating them... wont waiting a week longer interfere with the colonization of the substrate because i read the spawn needs all the nutrients they can get in order to colonize the substrate... in my case coco coir

:excusemeno:

Only shake it once around 25%-35% colonization. Wait until all the grain is fully colonized (covered white with mycellium) until you mix it with your substrate.

Letting your jars sit anywhere from 70°F-80°F (21°C-27°C) will do perfectly fine, any lower will just slow growth.

Temps are currently a bit low at the moment here... ranging from 12-15 *C min to 19-24*C max outside... i have 2 heat mats... will covering them with a towel or blanket and placing the jars on top and covering them inside help or will I only fuck it up?

Did notice that the WBS jars wasnt fully colonized on the inside when i shook them though.
What is the longest it can take for grain jars to fully colonize though

I've had quart jars in the cold season take up to a month and a half to fully colonize.

I wouldn't use the heating mat directly on the jars. Excessive heat adds risk for contamination.  The mycellium grows optimally at the temperatures stated and significantly slower at lower temperatures. Invest in an oil radiator for incubating.
